FaZe Clan faces major shakeup: popular streamers leave

FaZe Clan faces major shakeup: popular streamers leave
Share:

The Christmas holidays turned into a time of major upheaval for the American livestreaming community. In the final week of 2025, several high-profile FaZe Clan streamers announced they were leaving the organization. Notably, these announcements included long-time veterans who had been part of the FaZe family for over a decade.

Who left FaZe Clan?

  • Alexander “Adapt” Prynkiewicz, longtime FaZe creator who left after over a decade with the organization;

  • Jason “JasonTheWeen” Nguyen;

  • Rani “StableRonaldo” Netz;

  • Nick “Lacy” Fosco;

  • Joshua “YourRage”;

  • Jerry “Silky” Woo;

  • Kaysan “Kaysan” Ghasseminejad;

  • Yousef “Apex” Abdelfattah — co-owner and veteran member;

  • Rug — longtime co-owner of the club;

  • Kris “Swagg” Lamberson;

  • Franco “Replays” Sicilia;

It’s also worth noting Maxwell “PlaqueBoyMax” Dent, who left FaZe Clan in mid-2025. While he’s not part of the current wave of departures, he has been actively discussing the situation on social media.

As of now, the only content creators still with FaZe are Thomas “ZooMaa” Paparatto, Scope, and Jev. However, there is a strong possibility that they could follow their former teammates and leave the organization in the near future.

Why did streamers leave FaZe?

There is no single clear answer to this question. Based on statements shared by those involved, the situation appears to stem from numerous internal conflicts and unresolved disagreements. The streamers were seeking greater control over the brand and more creative freedom in their partnerships. Meanwhile, FaZe Clan owner Richard “BanKs” Bengtson pointed to the substantial investments the organization made in their careers and criticized the departing creators for ingratitude, dishonesty and inflated egos.

For now, it remains unclear whether FaZe Clan’s streaming division will continue to exist in 2026. Following the wave of streamer departures, FaZe Clan released an official statement on its X account, thanking the former members, wishing them well, and stating that the organization would continue to support them moving forward.

What's next for FaZe and the streamers?

So far, neither side has been eager to share any concrete plans for the future. According to Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, some former FaZe streamers are considering forming their own organization and continuing to work together.

Regarding FaZe Clan itself, the organization plans to shift its focus more toward growing its esports division moving forward; it operates as an independent entity, so the streamers’ departures had no impact on the professional teams or players.

On December 28, BanKs personally posted on X, apologizing to fans and members of the organization and wishing his former colleagues all the best in the future. He wrote that “this is the end for FaZe Clan” and “It’s over. I give up. I quit”. That said, the situation could look very different once emotions settle.

This is far from the first time FaZe has faced a mass departure of streamers. In the past, the organization successfully rebounded by relaunching its entertainment division and investing in new, emerging talent.

FaZe Clan's 2025 livestreaming results

In 2025, FaZe Clan streamers drew considerable attention from audiences and earned recognition from their peers. At The Streamer Awards 2025, FaZe members secured multiple wins: PlaqueBoyMax took home Best Music Streamer and Best Streamed Series. By the time he received the award, he had already been out of FaZe Clan for several months, but we couldn’t overlook him, as the award reflects achievements from the entire year.

At The Streamer Awards 2025, Adapt was honored as Best Breakout Streamer, and JasonTheWeen won the Streamer's Choice Award. On top of that, FaZe was named Best Content Organization for the second consecutive year.

In 2025, FaZe Clan was ranked among the top five most-watched streamer teams within esports organizations. In North America, they claimed first place.

Four former FaZe Clan members ranked among the top 10 most-watched Twitch streamers in the U.S. for 2025: Lacy, JasonTheWeen, StableRonaldo, and PlaqueBoyMax. Clearly, FaZe Clan and its streamers have made a major impact on the livestreaming community this year. We’re excited to see what 2026 has in store for them.
