The awards season is in full swing as we approach the end of the year, and now we have another top ceremony that fans can look forward to. The League Awards 2025 will take place in a few days, bringing together players, content creators and teams for an unforgettable celebration of excellence in League of Legends esports.
The League Awards was founded and is hosted by renowned esports personalities Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere and Marc "Caedrel" Lamont. It aims to honor the exceptional talents, moments, and contributions that make the League of Legends community vibrant and dynamic.
Here's everything readers need to know about the 2025 edition, including the details on categories and broadcasts.
League Awards 2025 date and broadcasts
The second edition of this League of Legends esports extravaganza will be held on November 28 from 1800 Central European Time (CET). Although the event will be held in the VIP Lounge of Munich's SAP Garden, there will be no crowd participation. Instead, it will be an online affair and will be broadcast live on Caedrel's official Twitch channel.
Like last year, there will be a few other content creators who will be livestreaming the event from the comfort of their homes. It remains to be seen who tunes in live this year, along with their audiences, but interested fans can check out their favourite streamers' social media/channel pages to see if they will be co-casting the ceremony.
League Awards 2025 categories
This year, there will be 15 categories across the global League of Legends scene, with Caedrel claiming that the aim was to "celebrate everyone across the whole world for League." The nominations were announced following 189,075 nomination submissions from the community, and voting was open to the public until November 24.

League Awards 2024 viewership statistics
The inaugural edition of this awards show was held on December 5, 2024, and was hosted by Caedrel and Sjokz. Like 2025, it was held offline; a party was held with guests related to the nominations and some other special people in the League of Legends esports world.
The League Awards 2024 peaked at 56,501 viewers and averaged 49,297 viewers. Almost 95% of its livestreaming audience was English-speaking, with Caedrel accounting for 62.5% of the ceremony's overall watch time. However, fans from the Polish, German and Czech communities also tuned in.

Some of the big winners last year were Faker, who won Player of the Year, and T1, which took home the Team of the Year award. The Rookie of the Year trophy went to Massu, while Laure Valée was chosen as the Broadcast Talent of the Year, and Tolkin claimed the Esports Creator of the Year title.
Fans can expect a lot more buzz around the second iteration, with the recent 2025 Worlds still fresh in the minds of many. Caedrel and Sjokz are sure to pull out all the stops to ensure the event is a grand success, and Streams Charts will cover all the happenings in its news section.
