Around a year after his former girlfriend accused him of verbal, emotional, and physical abuse, Alex "ImAllexx" Elmslie has finally come out with his side of the story. Fans of both parties had been waiting with bated breath for the popular YouTuber's reaction, and it's safe to say this controversy is far from over.
On June 15, 2024, Alice "Alice Hez" Heseldine, also popular as Malice, put up an 82-page document on Google Docs via X, detailing the apparent abuse, attaching screenshots of texts, videos, and an audio file to support her claims. Unsurprisingly, there was a massive backlash against ImAllexx from online users, with the Brit online star choosing to remain quiet for almost a year.
That was until March 20, 2025, when he uploaded a one-hour and 42-minute YouTube video titled "My Response." He addressed the claims made by Alice, denying any criminal charges or police involvement right off the bat.
"Alice says she put me on a list (Clare's Law) that will require me having a criminal record and a caution from the police but also says that the police didn't do anything at all," he said. "This is because Alice is and always was lying. I have never been contacted, approached or interviewed by police."
The 26-year-old also responded to Alice's allegations of physical abuse that purportedly happened on October 19, 2023, presenting screenshots of his own showing their apparent conversations from October 19 and 20 of the same year. Alex argued these texts hardly suggested any sort of conflict or violence, adding that he was fabricating evidence to show he had physically assaulted her when he never did so.
Here’s my statement on the situation I’ve been scared to speak out on.

It’s best it was made public how horrible this person with a platform is, id hate to see another woman go through this.
Please read the “statement” first before continuing.https://t.co/gypesK9U65
As per Alice, herself a gamer and a Twitch streamer, the two began dating on March 17, 2023, after "seeing each other for a few months." She added that things were pretty smooth initially before "small things became huge issues." Arguments arising from such problems eventually led to Alex directing a flurry of verbal abuse in her direction.
However, ImAllexx alleged in his response video that it was actually Alice Hez who had physically abused him throughout their relationship. He even shared screenshots that seemingly showed her admitting to hitting him.
"Alice hit me many times throughout our relationship, and this happened consistently from the moment we started dating. She would use physical violence when I refused to do as she had asked, and this is something she admitted to in a conversation on Facebook Messenger."
He also brought up the controversy surrounding the former couple's pet cat, Bear, blaming Hez for taking it away just to provoke him: Apparently, she was constantly taking the cat away from him, which he felt was being done as a way of provocating the YouTube star.
Lastly, the Englishman claimed that Malice had isolated him by contacting his friends and discouraging him from speaking out. Posting additional screenshots from TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) in the video, he alleged that she continued to harass him.
"Alice made it clear to me that I couldn't talk to anyone about what I had experienced as she was contacting all my friends and isolating me completely."
Interestingly, in the week since he uploaded his reply video, most internet users have panned Alex, calling his statement out for being too flimsy and terrible. Most online users continued to slam him for his toxic behaviour towards Hez, who herself took to X to respond to the YouTube video.
She also took offense to Alex claiming that she forced him to stay in the relationship. Alice even shared a screenshot of the document she uploaded in 2024, detailing the alleged abuse she suffered and sharing that she only found the courage to leave after her content creator boyfriend got physically violent with her for a second time.
And not once do I manipulate him to stay with me. I 100% was toxic back after being in a relationship with the abuse I endured from this man for months on end. Should I have left sooner? Yes. But I was scared to, it took him being physical a second time to do so. pic.twitter.com/X55JgbxPm8

Many online users did agree with Alex saying that she was toxic too when they were together. Alice addressed this as well, saying that she never tried to hide it, or the fact that it was her situation that forced her to behave that way.
It is safe to say that this year-long controversy between the two influencers has taken a new turn with the release of ImAllexx's response video and Alice's subsequent replies on X. Online users and fans have also weighed in with their opinions, and this is undoubtedly not the last we will hear of the former partners.
