American streamer IShowSpeed recently announced a month-long trip to Germany, where he will cover both the UEFA European Football Championship, and visit various neighbouring European countries for IRL streams. Speed hosted a short stream on the 16th of June to mark his arrival in the country, but his first proper stream came on the 18th when he covered Portugal’s group stage match against Czechia.
The American streamer is a die-hard Ronaldo fan and proudly supports the Portuguese national team. Many of his recent streams have broken over 100K concurrent viewers, but the recent broadcast of the Euros game was his most popular stream since January, excluding a collaborative challenge stream with MrBeast and KSI.
Speed’s stream of Portugal’s game against Czechia was his most popular broadcast in months, excluding the aforementioned collaboration on June 4th. His channel reached over 188.4K Peak Viewers towards the end of the broadcast. The stream’s peak was boosted by the fact that the stream’s title included “meeting Ronaldo”, and fans were excitedly tuning in to watch Speed meet the legendary footballer once again.
Unfortunately for Speed, the meeting with Ronaldo did not work out. According to Speed, he was in contact with Portuguese footballer Rafael Leão, who told him to wait in one of the tunnels of the stadium to meet Ronaldo and some of the other national team players. However, German police approached Speed and his entourage to tell them they could not wait in the tunnel with the Portuguese team bus coming out.

After Speed was told to wait outside, the Portuguese team bus appeared moments later behind him, passing him by. The streamer was furious with the police for costing him his chance to meet Ronaldo again, at least in his eyes, and the broadcast ended shortly after. Despite the unfortunate ending to the broadcast, the stream generated 425.2K Hours Watched and held an average viewership of 111K AV, making it one of his most-watched content as of late.
The decision for Speed to visit Germany came shortly after his successful trip to South Korea. The streamer visited the country and held multiple streams throughout the month of May. On his final day in Korea, May 17th, he hosted a 5-hour broadcast, which is particularly long by Speed’s standards. The stream received 139K Average Viewers, making it one of his most-watched broadcasts ever. Excluding the highly watched collaboration with MrBeast and KSI, this was his most-watched broadcast of the year so far.
Speed’s three streams in South Korea generated more than 1.5M Hours Watched for his YouTube channel, and excitement and hype for these broadcasts kept compounding with every new stream. The trip to South Korea was the source of a variety of viral moments for the streamer, such as being bitten by a dog, being told off by the South Korean military for trying to stream near the border with North Korea, and much more.

Speed’s international antics have been highly watched, and if the South Korea trip is indicative of a trend, his viewership throughout his month-long stay in Europe will only continue to rise with each stream. Speed’s most popular broadcast ever remains his IRL stream of the Ballon D’or awards in 2023, which reached 548.3K PV.
If Speed hosts enough streams in Europe and continues to cover the Euros tournament, his viewership may reach high enough to rival this record-setting Ballon D’or broadcast. Streams Charts will continue to track viewership data for IShowSpeed throughout his stay in Europe, which will likely be one of the streamer’s most lucrative and successful decisions of the year for the broadcaster.
