American Twitch streamer & YouTube content creator Kayla Marie Sims raised more than $512,000 for charitable causes during the streaming marathon. Internet personality, mostly known as lilsimsie, broadcast live throughout May, and not only ordinary viewers, but also other streamers, as well as some companies, including Twitch itself, joined her fundraising campaign.
All funds raised will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, one of the leading children's hospitals treating childhood cancer & pediatric diseases. When Kayla hit the coveted $500,000 mark, she couldn't contain her emotions:
‘I’m so emotional and grateful, and I truly cannot believe how much good our community has done together this month. I can't even wrap my head around that number. Thank you for helping me do this. You are amazing.’

Lilsimsie broadcast throughout May, and during this time she gained 855K Hours Watched. Kayla is primarily known as a content creator for The Sims games, so it's no surprise that she spent nearly an entire month streaming The Sims 4, accounting for over 80% of her total Hours Watched.
On average, Kayla’s broadcasts collected about 5.4K Average concurrent viewers, and the maximum audience was 18.4K concurrent viewers. Despite a significant increase in all viewership metrics compared to April, Kayla still did not achieve a new personal record. Her most popular stream remains one of the broadcasts of 2021, which attracted 23.6K Peak Viewers.
Lilsimsie’s viewers not only actively donated, but also chatted. During the month of broadcasts, 39.2K people sent messages in the chat, who in total sent over 984.5K messages, which is four times more than in the entire April. The engagement rate is also something lilsimsie should be proud of as it reached an impressive 24%, not even top Twitch streamers can reach such a result. In addition, over 200 viewers spent bits on cheer messages, and the maximum number of bits per such message was 10,500.
