Kick October 2023 results — Adin Ross, Amouranth continue star performance

Kick October 2023 results — Adin Ross, Amouranth continue star performance
Share:

Having hit record-breaking numbers across the board last month, Kick encountered a small speed bump to its otherwise rapid growth in October. And while the decreases in the Hours Watched and Average Viewers stats were marginal, there was a sharp decline in the number of Peak Viewers across the tenth month of 2023.

The two most popular channels from September were far less effective in drawing in viewers this time around, leading to a big fall in its overall stats. However, there was a platform record for the most number of different games streamed across a month, continuing the trend of shoots of positivity appearing for a company that has publicly-stated ambitions of taking on the big names in the industry: Twitch and YouTube.

Moreover, there were increases in the overall number of active channels and Average Channels, while the amount of Peak Channels remained the same. Lastly, while the usual viewership spikes were seen in October as well, we have taken precautions throughout this article to avoid names that may have somehow inorganically inflated their viewership numbers.

Most-watched categories on Kick

Just Chatting and Slots & Casinos continue to reign supreme on Kick  Just Chatting and Slots & Casinos continue to reign supreme on Kick

Just Chatting, the number one category on the green platform by a mile, saw a 9.6% rise in its monthly watch time from September. Trailing in its wake at a distant second is Slots & Casino, which also saw an increase in its viewing numbers as it continues to attract gambling creators who may not find the same leniency for their content on other streaming platforms.

Third is Grand Theft Auto V (GTA), a game that continues to make waves across platforms, especially Kick, where it is consistently the most-watched game month-on-month. Of course, it has been a constant in the gaming lexicon for more than a decade, and readers must not forget that this Rockstar Games epic has help from DLC expansions, its Online component, and the phenomenon of that is the GTA V RP server.

Other categories that have made it here include Music Stations (music content), Other, Watch Party, and Pools, Hot Tubs & Bikinis. There are also a few other titles like Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0EA Sports FC 24Counter-Strike 2, and Fortnite, making it an even split between gaming and non-gaming segments within this top ten leaderboard.

Most-watched and most popular streamers

Adin Ross retained his spot atop the most viewed standing despite seeing a small drop of 5.8% in his watch time. Following him in second is n3on, who saw a jump of six places and 116.5% in his numbers in October, mostly thanks to his October 9 stream where he went to Disneyland with girlfriend and social media influencer Samantha Frank, with the duo getting banned from the theme park later on.

Rounding off the top three is xQc, who is no stranger to this list having so regularly topped Twitch monthly and yearly tables during his time streaming full-time there. He has already made a huge impact in his new hunting ground, and readers can expect the Canadian to break a few records during his time with the Stake-backed site.

Sxb, the Saudi Arabian GTA V content creator known for his exploits in its role-playing arena, is fourth. The server is quite popular among Arabic-speaking audiences, and his streams have helped him appear on these top ten lists a lot more frequently over the past few months.

Westcol, the second-ranked entry last month, fell to fifth this time around despite streaming for a longer amount of time. He is joined by the likes of list regulars roshteinac7ionman, and mellstroy, with pottukoiralive and sam being the newer entrants.

There are a few fresh faces on this top ten leaderboard  There are a few fresh faces on this top ten leaderboard

Moving to the most popular internet stars, there are a few names from the above table who find mentions here as well. The first entry is seekaplayer, who is one of the unique broadcasters in that most of his content deals with the Software Development genre, which should be a boon to those looking to clear their doubts online.

Niter is sixth, with most of his videos revolving around the Just Chatting segments, although he does dabble into games like Teamfight Tactics and Counter-Strike 2. nataliereynoldsbrucedropemoff, and theleaway are the other new names here, with their content genres ranging from Just Sleeping to Other, Watch Party to Fitness and Health.

Most-watched female Kick streamers

It is clear that a few females rule the roost when it comes to monthly Kick watch time  It is clear that a few females rule the roost when it comes to monthly Kick watch time

Amouranth continues to dominate any platform she takes to, not unlike xQc, and her battle with jenfoxxx to emerge as the most-watched female streamer every month must be quite entertaining to their fans. For now, the former is the undisputed queen, hitting 20% more hours than her rival for October.

Nadia is third, marking her entry into this ranking after not appearing in September, thanks to her Pools, Hot Tubs & Bikinis livestreams that have attracted thousands of viewers and helped her gain quite a few followers. Fourth and fifth are woodbabee and hanridge, who have gone to the Just Sleeping and Pools, Hot Tubs & Bikinis wells often to maintain their places in the top ten from last month.

The last five entrants are a mix of those who have leaned on the likes of VRChatting and Fortnite to stay near the top. That two of them have been steaming a lot of Epic Games' builder-shooter during a busy esports season is good news for those fans and viewers who might want to see some more gaming content from the female segment.

Overall, Kick continues to make positive strides in the streaming industry, emerging as a viable third option, especially for Western audiences, alongside Rumble. While there are still gaps to fill and a few content-related questions to be answered, the platform will look back at its first year as one of growth and significant impact, which helped it genuinely break out as a live-streaming service providing varied experiences to its viewers.
