According to Streams Charts, it quickly became one of the most-watched categories on Twitch, drawing thousands of viewers during streams from top streamers.
The story of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II picks up where the original game, released in 2018, left off. In the sequel, the main character in this historical action RPG must take on the King of Hungary himself to avenge his parents’ deaths. Critics and journalists have praised the work of Czech studio Warhorse Studios, with Kingdom Come: Deliverance II earning strong scores from major outlets: 88/100 from Metacritic, 9/10 from GameSpot, 9/10 from IGN, and more.

On its launch day, it racked up nearly 2,800,000 Hours Watched — only Grand Theft Auto V, Counter-Strike, and the Just Chatting category had more. On release day, the peak viewership for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II hit 467,339 viewers, surpassing even the recent launch of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

The most popular stream of the day came from American streamer Zack ‘’zackrawrr’’ Hoyt, who hit 50,338 Peak Viewers. Other big names like Ben ‘’CohhCarnage’’ Cassell, Rubén ‘’Rubius’’ Doblas, Michael ‘’Shroud’’ Grzesiek, Thomas ‘’sodapoppin’’ Morris, Alan ‘’alanzoka’’ Ferreira, and more also streamed the game. Many of these streamers were partners who were giving away Twitch Drops.

On the first day, over 43% of all Kingdom Come: Deliverance II's viewing hours on Twitch came from English-language channels. Around 15% came from Russian-language streams, while Spanish, French, and German channels accounted for between 7% and 9%. What's interesting is that the game is set in Czechia, and the NPCs speak Czech. Even so, Czech streams made up around 6% of the total HW — a pretty high percentage compared to other games.
By the second day post-release, most of the game’s Twitch viewer numbers began to drop, which is pretty typical for new releases. It'll be interesting to see how the game performs over a longer period, like a week. So far, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is outpacing titles like Dragon’s Dogma II, HELLDIVERS™ 2, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl in several key viewer metrics.
