The latest Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase was livestreamed on February 5, with the company focusing on the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2. It featured a mix of classic titles making enhanced or updated returns, grand adventures making their Nintendo Switch debuts, and brand-new games launching for both popular handheld gadgets.
Nintendo's Partner Showcases are usually chock-full of announcements from third-party publishers, with the Japanese multinational video game company itself hardly revealing any in-house news. That was the case for this early February broadcast as well, although what fans did get were some pretty massive reveals.
Highlights from the globally beloved developer and publisher's livestream included announcements of franchises from both Bethesda Game Studios and MachineGames making their Nintendo Switch 2 debuts. Fans will finally get the arrival of iconic names like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

The latest Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase also revealed an extended look for Orbitals, a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive intergalactic two-player co-op puzzle platforming adventure set in a retro anime-inspired galaxy. For Nintendo Switch 2, there were announcements about Resident Evil Requiem and the debut of the sprawling role-playing epic Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
Overall, the showcase had updates for quite a few renowned franchises, helping the livestream reach a peak of almost 1.5 million viewers. The top channel was the official Nintendo one on YouTube, which reached 871,772 Peak Viewers (PV) to finish among the most popular channels across platforms over the past week.

Overall, this presentation attracted some kind of online engagement from almost 850 channels. Prominent video gaming content creators like Maximilian "Maximilian Dood" Christiansen and Flow Games ensured to provide coverage of this livestream at some point, adding to the hype around this online event.
Nintendo's Switch 2 has created much hype within the community, so the reveal of games for this device was expected. But the fact that the company ensured to also announce several games or ports of older titles for Switch 1 owners was a major drawing factor among fans.
2026 is set to be a massive year for video game releases, with the likes of the highly anticipated GTA 6 scheduled to come out. With its latest showcase, Nintendo has also managed to drum up early interest in games for its two handheld consoles, and it remains to be seen what else the company has in store for upcoming showcases.
