On July 8, the first day of TwitchCon Paris 2023 took place in France. Hundreds of streamers and thousands of guests gathered at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles to relax, socialize, and have a great time. Streams Charts provides interim viewership statistics for the event.
The events of the first day of TwitchCon Paris 2023 were covered on 856 different channels on Twitch. The streams were hosted by both unknown amateur streamers and true platform stars such as EsfandTV, Nmplol, ZeratoR, Jinnytty, Tubbo, HasanAbi, and many others. These channels collectively accumulated almost 1.1 million Hours Watched and drew 143K Peak Viewers.
On the first day of TwitchCon Paris 2023, two Twitch Rivals events took place — Fall Guys Showdown ft. ZeratoR and VALORANT Mode Mash-up. In total, they accumulated about 300K HW and attracted 71.9K and 64.3K PV, respectively. These events were covered on many channels, with the French streamer ZeratoR's channel attracting the largest audience.
Many top streamers came to TwitchCon to interact with fans and colleagues, as well as participate in various event activities (such as playing in the Twitch Rivals tournaments). A lot of them conducted IRL streams directly from the venue — they goofed around, made fun of other streamers, and tried to entertain viewers in every way possible. The most-watched streamer on the first day of TwitchCon Paris 2023 was EsfandTV — mostly, he walked around the venue all day, joked, and interacted with guests, but he also found himself in a very curious situation with Pokimane. When EsfandTV saw Pokimane having a fan meet-up, he decided to approach her and say hello, cutting in line. The security guard of the streamer did not appreciate this move and almost kicked EsfandTV out of the venue. Fortunately for the American streamer, Pokimane herself intervened in the situation. EsfandTV's viewers witnessed the entire situation on a live broadcast, and the clip with the security guard amassed over 250K views in less than a day.
In total, EsfandTV's broadcasts on the first day of the event reached 130K HW. By this metric, it even surpassed the official platform channel, which accumulated around 105.5K. In terms of peak viewership, EsfandTV's channel ranked second with 25.1K PV, while the leader was Nmplol, whose IRL broadcast from the venue was watched by 28.7K PV. The official Twitch channel had 22.2K PV. Among female streamers, Jinnytty emerged as the leader in both categories — her TwitchCon broadcasts amassed 59.9K HW and had 8.9K PV. Jinnytty's content was similar to others, as she walked around the venue, interacted with visitors and other streamers.
The most popular language for streams on the first day of TwitchCon Paris 2023 was English, accounting for almost 65% of the Hours Watched across all channels. French language streams came in second place with 18.4% of HW. It is worth noting that there were very few Spanish language streams as very few Spanish-speaking content creators attended the event in Paris.
The second day of TwitchCon Paris 2023 also has a lot of activities planned for event attendees. For example, there will be a Twitch Rivals: League of Legends Showdown tournament and the entertainment show Twitch Rivals Ultimate Challenge, live from Paris. We will provide more detailed statistics on these events tomorrow.
