TwitchCon is the most popular streaming convention in the world that brings together the biggest content creators of the platform. It gives fans a chance to meet their favorite streamers, get a photo, and even have a chat with them. Despite being a Twitch event, content creators from rival platforms, like YouTube (for example, Valkyrae, Ludwig, and Sykkuno) also attended it. The event was full of activities the streamers and fans could participate in, competitions and also some panels where streamers and Twitch staff spoke.
However, there were some unfortunate events that took place at the convention. Twitch streamer AdrianaChechik_ broke her back in two separate places, after jumping into the foam pit at the Lenovo booth. The foam pit wasn't very well padded which unfortunately led to this accident, which required the streamer to get surgery. LochVaness dislocated her knee in the same foam pit, and other people also sustained injuries in the same attraction. Surprisingly the attraction wasn´t closed after these injuries occurred, which left the streaming community very unhappy.
Some streamers were also harassed, with megastar xQc saying that a woman touched him inappropriately at the event afterparty. KaiCenat also said he was touched inappropriately at the event. There were also cases of streamers getting stalked, something that happened to Amouranth, one of the biggest female streamers on Twitch. When it comes to the fans, many complained about the difficult access for people in wheelchairs at the venue. Streamers were also misgendered, and many people complained about the fact the venue was too small, making it harder for people to relocate inside it.
The top most watched streamers on TwitchCon San Diego broadcasted mainly in English. Streamers spent most of the event doing meet and greats, taking photos, talking with their fans, answering questions from the chat, and communicating with fellow content creators.
Amouranth, one of three female streamers that made this list, was the most watched streamer at the event. Viewers watched her streams for 435K hours, where they saw many fans meeting the streamer for the first time ever and taking pictures with her. She also participate in many activities while at TwitchCon, and attended afterparties. Popular streamer HasanAbi was watched for 277K Hours, with viewers choosing the streamer to guide them through the venue, show them the different activities, and hear his opinion about the event.

Esfandtv viewers watched his streams for 137K hours, has the streamer spent time 1v1 fans in multiple games, talking with fellow streamers, and also meeting a lot of fans. jinnytty streams were watched for 125k hours, which secures her fifth place. She spent most of the time going around the venue meeting new people, interacting with fans, and playing games.
When it comes to the most popular streamers of the event, it’s Austinshow who secured first place. He did a live edition of his popular game show “Name Your Price” at TwitchCon, with 100K viewers tuning in from home, to watch some big names of the streaming industry, such as Amouranth, HasanAbi, and GeorgeNotFound play in it. Brucedropemoff was the second most popular streamer of the event: he had 51K Peak Viewers on a short broadcast on the first day of the event, where he interacted with some fans and streamers. HasanAbi had 46K Peak Viewers coming together to watch his stream on the last day of the event, where he met a lot of new fans, and interacted with many streamers.
GeorgeNotFound participated in an IRL tournament at TwitchCon with a prize pool of $75K, viewers were very interested in this event and 45K Peak Viewers gathered to watch his broadcast of the tournament. Apex Legend professional TSM_ImperialHal, had 31K simultaneous viewers watch him participate in the TwitchCon Apex Legends tournament. It’s worth noting that juansguarnizo is the only non-English speaking streamer that is on this top 10. The Colombian streamer had 30K Peak Viewers on a very small stream he did on the second day of the event.
There were also many top content creators that attended the event but didn't stream, preferring to enjoy it as much as they could. Streamers from other streaming platforms such as Valkyrae, Ludwig, and Sykkuno, who stream on Twitch's biggest competitor YouTube, were also present at the event but didn't stream, preferring to communicate with fellow content creators and fans.
TwitchCon received a lot of backlash from the community, and there are certainly some things the company wished to have done differently. But, most streamers and fans were still able to have a good time, with many fulfilling the dream of meeting their favorite content creators, and also getting to know new people.
