October saw The International 2022 and most of the Worlds 2022 matches, as well as regional qualifiers for IEM Rio Major 2022. Such a high level of esports activity had a huge impact on the statistics of Twitch teams. Streams Charts presents the ranking of the most popular streamer associations for October 2022.
The most watched Twitch team of the month by a wide margin was the League of Legends Championship Series, with nearly 44M Hours Watched. It features four channels broadcasting Worlds 2022 in different languages. At the same time, more than 80% of the association’s Hours Watched were generated by the English-language channel Riot Games.
The Riot Games team features almost every channel from the League of Legends Championship Series, which is why we’ve excluded it from the top 10 of the month. It would come in second with 41.8M Hours Watched. Since there are several teams in ESL with almost the same set of channels, we have included only the most popular of these teams in the top 10.
Hours Watched of the Loaded team grew by 28% in a month, which allowed it to climb from the fourth spot in the ranking to the second. As usual, summit1g, LIRIK, and shroud became the leaders of the association by Hours Watched. G FUEL dropped from second to third spot despite a 5% increase in Hours Watched. At the same time, summit1g generated more than a quarter of the team's Hours Watched.
The fourth spot in the ranking was taken by The International team, consisting of channels broadcasting the main stage of TI11 in different languages. The most watched of them was the English-language dota2ti, which accounted for 65% of the association’s 19.4M Hours Watched.
Tribo Gaules climbed from seventh to the fifth spot, increasing its monthly Hours Watched by 35%. The leader of the team was Gaules, who generated 88% of the association’s total. Gaules himself was also the October leader in terms of Hours Watched among all Twitch streamers, ahead of xQc.
The ESL Gaming channel dropped from the third spot of the ranking to the sixth, with a 22% decrease in Hours Watched over the month. More than half of the team’s total was generated by the viewers of the ESL_CSGO channel, where the most important matches of IEM Rio Major 2022 RMRs were broadcast. Corsair lost one spot in the ranking, although its Hours Watched grew by 13% over the month.
CS:GO Professional Player Streams, which was the leader in September, dropped to the eighth spot in the ranking, losing about 30% of the Hours Watched over the month. At the same time, the ESL_CSGO channel accounted for more than half of the team's total. Team PGL, which featured studio channels with broadcasts of the Last Chance Qualifier and the TI10 group stage, took the ninth spot at the top. At the same time, the PGL_Dota2 channel became the association’s leader, having generated more than 56% of the team’s total Hours Watched.
Closing the top 10 Twitch teams in October was One True King, which lost 31% of Hours Watched over the month. The team leaders were zackrawrr and sodapoppin.
