American streamer Ali "Myth" Kabbani has announced that he will be taking a break from livestreaming for a while. His exclusive two-year contract with YouTube has ended, and he currently has no plans to return to Twitch. Myth stated that he needs time to rethink his approach to content creation and reevaluate his future plans. However, he reassured his fans that he is not retiring and will definitely return to streaming at some point.
Myth's streaming career began with broadcasts of the team shooter Paragon by Epic Games. The game’s open beta started in the summer of 2016, but the developers decided to shut it down by 2018. During this period, Myth transitioned to the rapidly growing battle royale Fortnite, becoming one of its top streamers before the rise of Ninja and Tfue.
Over time, Myth explored other shooters like Valorant, Apex Legends, Rainbow Six, and Rust, as well as games like GTA V and League of Legends. From 2018 to 2022, he was a community caster for Team SoloMid. After leaving the organization, he signed an exclusive contract with YouTube.
Myth maintains two major streaming channels: 7.44 million followers on Twitch and 4.47 million followers on YouTube. His peak popularity on Twitch came in 2020, when he attracted over 100,000 viewers during Valorant streams with drops. On YouTube, his largest stream drew 11,100 viewers during a Paintball session.
In addition to live streaming, Myth has actively participated in various events hosted by other streamers. Notably, he competed in the boxing events Mogul Chessboxing Championship and Creator Clash 2, achieving one victory in each.
