On October 19, One True King, the popular streamer organization, revealed some big news to the community in the form of a new event. The group uploaded a two-minute video, featuring Sodapoppin, which announced the OTK Game Awards, an annual video game award ceremony where multiple games will be honored across categories.
This much-hyped in-person function will air on December 8 at the WePlay Studios in Los Angeles, California. Viewers can tune in to Sodapoppin's official Twitch channel to watch the live coverage.

The official website had this to say about the show host:
"Hosted by the unparalleled Sodapoppin, the OTK VGAs serve as a platform to spotlight the premier games, individuals, and brands within the Video Game and entertainment industry. Here, the best games are celebrated and championed by genuine gamers."
For fans of other content creators, there are no real obstacles to them co-streaming the event, but they do have to follow a set of predetermined criteria. As per the official site, here are the rules to be followed by any broadcaster who plans to do so:
- "OTK VGAs" must be in the Stream title
- Must follow Twitch and YouTube ToS
- No rights of third parties are to be violated
- No advertising for the following products or services is actively integrated:
- Nicotine, alcohol, and or cannabis & gambling, lotteries, casino, poker, and or sports betting platforms
- Pornography, item, or in-game currency trading outside of first-party platforms or official offerings

What is OTK?
For those unaware, OTK is an American media organization based in Austin, Texas, that focuses primarily on online content creation and previously competed professionally in World of Warcraft esports. It was formed on October 11, 2020, by prominent streamers like Asmongold, Mizkif, Esfand, Rich Campbell, and Tips Out, with Asmon stating in their introductory video that:
"We came up with this idea of making an org and building the org around our friends – building the org around friendship in general."
The group also celebrated its third birthday on October 12, and as per Streams Charts data, in 2023, it ranks seventh among all streaming teams on Twitch. What makes this accomplishment special is that compared to other orgs, it is one of the smallest teams, with only nine current active streamers: Asmongold, Sodapoppin, Mizkif, Nmplol, ExtraEmily, EsfandTV, Emiru, Tectone, and Cyr.
Over the years, the company's board has seen various changes, with additions including Emiru, Nmplol, ExtraEmily, and Sodapoppin as content creators and co-owners. On the opposite end of the spectrum, some major names to leave are Rich Campbell, Jschlatt, and BruceDropEmOff. Most recently, One True King announced the launch of the game publishing company Mad Mushroom during the OTK Games Expo.
