Norwegian female streamer malena together with the American media organization OTK held an IRL event called Wild West Ranch. From November 16 to 19, popular Twitch streamers spent time together on a ranch in Texas, where they learned all the charms and difficulties of cowboy life. Of course, all of this was streamed on air.
The Wild West Ranch had several activities every day: the guests learned archery, cooked food on the fire, played cards, had fun in a saloon, rode horses, took care of animals on the farm, etc. Each such activity was streamed on the channel of one of the participants of the show: Mizkif, Nmplol, ExtraEmily, Emiru, Sodapoppin, EsfandTV, and so on.

The event was very unusual and fun. Participants tried their best to transmit to the audience the atmosphere of the wild west and cowboy vibe. This was greatly helped by authentic streamer outfits and roleplay. Trolling and informal communication between the participants (which, however, is not uncommon for OTK events) added piquancy to the event.
OTK Wild West viewership statistics
The Wild West Ranch broadcasts ran on ten different channels. Overall, they accumulated 1.2 million Hours Watched. The broadcast reached 35.6K Average Viewers and 57K Peak Viewers.
The broadcast of the Wild West Finale episode on Nmplol channel drew the most viewers — on the last day of the show, the contestants held a farewell party with a festive table and fun contests. They competed in spitting accuracy, tried to break a piñata blindfolded, shot targets with a shotgun and, of course, rodeoed on an electronic bull. The Top 3 most popular episodes of the IRL show also included Ultimate Hoedown by Sodapoppin and Welcome to the Wild West by Nmplol.
When it comes to viewers' activity, streamer Nmplol had the most active session. Nmplol also had the most active chatters and the highest number of sent messages during the broadcast of the Welcome to the Wild West and the Wild West Finale episodes. However, in terms of audience engagement, Erobb with the broadcast of the Cowboy Camping episode was ahead of everyone else — the audience activity during that broadcast amounted to 11.5%.
The broadcast from the Wild West Ranch helped ExtraEmily set the channel's record for Peak Viewers — her stream on the first day of the event was watched by more than 46.3K viewers concurrently. For Nmplol and Sodapoppin, the cowboy broadcasts were the most popular in the last six months. Mizkif has had more popular broadcasts in the past, but still, 50.6K Peak Viewers is a very good number for his channel. He has only had six streams this fall that attracted such an audience.
Usually we see much more viewers at the OTK events. For example, the recent OTK Hardcore Mak'gora Tournament had 305.4K Peak Viewers. However, it is important to take into account that that and similar events were simultaneously broadcast on several channels, while the Wild West Ranch had only one channel per episode. Nevertheless, the OTK contestants and their fans gave the IRL show very high feedback in general, leaving many positive comments on social media. Some expressed hope that similar "ranch weekends" will be organized in the future.
