On April 14, 2022, Twitch removed channel page views (known as “Views” or "Views Gain") from Stream Manager Stats. We followed their decision and also removed this metric throughout the Streams Charts analytics.
According to an official statement from Twitch, total “Views” only include channel page loads on the desktop web and are not inclusive of mobile or other devices. We also often referred to this factor when communicating with clients. That's why at the beginning of March we added a new Live Views metric to Streams Charts, which is different from the usual Views.
Despite the addition of the Live Views metric, we continued to collect and use Views data till today. Following Twitch's decision to remove this metric from Stream Manager Stats, we also removed the Views (Views Gain) metric across the site. The only page where Views will still be available is the Twitch historical channel ranking by views.
