Rubén ‘Rubius’ Gundersen, one of the most popular YouTubers in Spain (40.4 million followers) challenged a Canadian content creator Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, who is the most watched Twitch streamer of recent years, to a boxing match. The latter gave prior consent to the challenge, but set a few conditions.
XQc and Rubius have been joking with each other for years during their broadcasts. The two big content creators have never been shy about trolling each other, but Rubius recently decided to take the rivalry to the next level when he openly challenged Lengyel during the La Velada Del Año II boxing event.

The Canadian streamer handled the situation with humor. First, he mocked Rubius' boxing stance, calling him «a funny guy», and then he said he was «gonna fold him in half like a stack of papers». After that, Lengyel set two conditions for the fight: a restriction on training and financial motivation. In his address to the audience he said:
«I’ll give you guys the response you want. If we both agree to the same regiment of no training except for physical condition training, okay, I’ll fight him next year. But we gotta put some money on the line».

XQc didn't specify the sum of money he was talking about, but the Canadian's viewers took his statement as agreement. So far, the two sides have not officially agreed on a fight, but fans of both are ready to wait as long as it takes.

Boxing matches between popular content creators have become a new trend in interactive entertainment. Recently, Spanish streamer Ibai ‘Ibai’ Llanos held the boxing event La Velada Del Año II in Barcelona, during which there were two records set at once: the Peak Viewers number on Ibai's broadcast exceeded 3.35 million spectators and the Peak Viewers number on Twitch reached 6.6 million people, the best total on the streaming platform ever.
