The June 25 broadcast of Spanish creator Ibai Llanos not only set a new record for peak concurrent viewers among Twitch streamers, but also broke Twitch's all-time historical viewership record. 6,642,217 people were on the platform simultaneously. Half of this number (3.35M) watched the broadcast of the boxing event La Velada Del Año II on Ibai's channel.
The previous Twitch viewership record was set on January 11, 2021, when another Hispanic creator David TheGrefg Martinez presented his icon series skin in Fortnite. There were 6,577,002 viewers on Twitch at the time, with 2.47M watching the TheGrefg broadcast.
