Streams Charts has teamed up with StreamAdvisor, an automated advertising service for streamers, to host the first-ever awards for Ukrainian-speaking streamers. The initiative's primary goal is to support the growth of Ukrainian streaming culture, promote Ukrainian-language content, and highlight the role of streaming platforms as key channels for connecting with younger audiences.
Stream Awards 2024: Ukrainian Edition
Stream Awards 2024: Ukrainian Edition will unite content creators on Twitch and YouTube, viewers, and brands to celebrate those shaping the future of Ukrainian-language livestreaming. Despite being a debut event, it has already attracted major partners like Pepsi, Doritos, Lay’s, and Logitech G, highlighting the growing importance of Ukraine’s streaming industry.
"Stream Awards 2024 is a big step toward elevating Ukrainian streaming to the next level. We're excited to participate in this project and help talented content creators unlock their full potential. We hope that through their participation, Ukrainian-speaking streamers will not only gain recognition from local audiences but also attract attention from brands and potential partners".
Ievgen Skyba, CEO and co-founder of StreamAdvisor
The livestreaming industry in Ukraine is undergoing a transformation. The audience is steadily growing, and brands are paying more attention to influencers in this space. Initiatives that help streamers gain recognition and support for their continued growth are key in this process.
"Ukrainian livestreaming has seen significant changes in recent years. For example, on Ukrainian-language Twitch, the number of viewing hours in 2023 increased by 209% compared to 2022, and in 2024, it’s up another 20% compared to 2023, with ongoing growth. Several factors have contributed to this, including the full-scale Russian invasion and the widespread shift away from Russian content.
What’s also important to note is that we’re now witnessing the creation of a new ecosystem: new streamers are emerging, and those who have already gained popularity continue to impress with their achievements. The Stream Awards 2024 is not just an opportunity to recognize their contributions but also a catalyst for further growth in the industry.
We hope this initiative becomes an annual tradition, helping to promote Ukrainian-language content and opening up new opportunities for local livestreaming".
