On October 1, Throne and Liberty saw its full launch on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC. Since then, the RPG offering has enjoyed a pretty good time on Twitch, climbing to its top-ten rankings tables by watch time and peak concurrent viewership for the period between September 26 (that day its early access came out) and October 2.
What has made the NCSoft title so playable are the colorful world, detailed environments, and engaging combat. Some quarters of the gaming community have also praised its impressive storytelling and interesting upgrading systems, which makes it an instantly more intriguing option than many other MMORPGs.
Moreover, Twitch Drops have been activated for viewers who watch Throne and Liberty being played on their favorite streamer channels. Rewards include Ornate Coins, the Rare Imperial Bracelet, the Great-Fanged Figmen (Amitoi), and the Caerulean Cygnus (Morph).
Throne and Liberty has notched 10.67 Hours Watched and 196K Peak Viewers over the period covering its early access phase, with the former figure putting it eighth among games on the purple platform, ahead of Call of Duty: Warzone, Dota 2, and Fortnite . The ranking is even higher when looking at the PV figure, which makes it the fifth-most popular title over the past week.
When looking at the time between October 1 and October 3, the first three days of the game's official release, these positions get even better. Throne and Liberty occupies the third spot by both watch time and peak concurrent viewership on Twitch for these three days, beating out more established names like Valorant, Counter-Strike, and Overwatch 2 .
The game also hit number four on the Steam Charts when it came to concurrent players, hitting 292,116 simultaneous gamers. This put it behind only famous offerings Dota 2 and CS and that bizarre indie game, Banana, which involves repeatedly clicking on a picture of a banana and nothing else.
Other interesting facets of Throne and Liberty include Milestones, which are time-sensitive events that reward players and their guild with unique incentives. The first group to complete these challenges/goals will get unique spoils and unlock their server’s next set of content for everyone to enjoy.
The title has also continued to attract a mostly European and North American audience, with English being the language with the highest watch time between September 26 and October 2. It accounts for about 51% of the overall HW number, with the next best language being German, the only other entry with a double-digit contribution to the cumulative chart thanks to broadcasters like metashi12, PhuBrothers, and AresLPs.
Circling back to content creators, many prominent names have jumped on the Throne and Liberty bandwagon, as they did during its early access and open beta tests. The likes of Shroud, Zackrawrr, and KanonXO have been busy grinding the game since September 26, with Shroud — known to give a lot of airtime to new video game releases — putting up 77% higher watch time numbers than any other colleague.
However, as with the open beta run, it was World of Warcraft and MMORPG specialist Zackrawrr who emerged as the most popular name to play this title over the past week. His game among fans of the genre was seen in the fact that his playthroughs averaged 65% more online spectators than any other influencer.
Throne and Liberty also stacks up pretty well compared to other successful RPG releases this year. The first three days after its full release are not that dissimilar to the likes of Black Myth: Wukong, Palworld, Enshrouded, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, all of which have enjoyed great runs this year.

We do have to point out that there are still flaws that the game has, like the highly-disliked server issues which don't allow fans to create a character for up to 45 minutes, with many getting disconnected event after such a long wait. To exacerbate this issue, players can't choose another server to play on, meaning many are just hoping that the developers improve things as quickly as possible.
There is also the 'pay to win' aspect that has led to many new video games tanking recently, but the numbers on Twitch seem to suggest that gamers will give NCSoft and Amazon Games a little more time before coming to any conclusions. In the meantime, players can load up Throne and Liberty on their consoles or PCs and explore the vast open world of Solisium.
