Top 10 Twitch streamers by subscriptions in Q2 2022

Top 10 Twitch streamers by subscriptions in Q2 2022

The Streams Charts team has compiled a ranking of the top 10 Twitch streamers with the most subscriptions in Q2 2022. Based on this data, we also calculated how much money content creators could earn from subscriptions during this period. Please note that we are counting not the number of subscribers, but the number of subscriptions.

Disclaimer: Our calculations for subscriptions and related income are not confirmed by the streamers themselves. We use our own methodology for calculating paid subscriptions, hence our data may differ slightly from the real values. We also indicate the range of income, since the cost of a subscription varies from region to region. For example, this cost is equal to $5 in the US, while viewers in Thailand have to spend only $1.49 on it.

xQc became the leader by the number of subscriptions in Q2 2022. During the period, the Canadian streamer accumulated 178.6K subscriptions, of which 14.6K (about 8.1%) were the gifted ones. According to our calculations, xQc earned about $350K-488K from subs. Since xQc is a representative of Canada and streams to an English-speaking audience, we can assume that his real income is closer to the upper end of the range.

Brazilian streamer casimito took the second spot in the top. In Q2, he had 169K subscriptions, of which 8.7K (about 5.1%) were gifted ones. In monetary terms, this would be equal to $358K-444K. Presumably, the exact amount will be closer to the lower end of the range, given that the cost of a subscription in Brazil is lower than in Canada, for example.

Gaulesibai, and auronplay also entered the top 5 in terms of subscriptions. It is noteworthy that the number of gifted subs of almost every streamer in the top reaches up to 15% of the total number for the period (and HasanAbi has as much as 19%).

The only exception in terms of gifted subs to total number ratio comes from the subscriptions of the American streamer iitztimmy: his number of gifted subscriptions has reached 67.7%, that is twice the number of purchased ones. It can be explained by the fact that iitztimmy launched a subathon in April, a stream the duration of which depends on the number of new subscribers. Usually, viewers extend such broadcasts by gifting a subscription to someone in the chat. For comparison: iitztimmy scored several dozen gifted subscriptions on a typical day, and the number increased to several thousand during the subathon.
