Streams Charts continues to summarize the events of August 2021. In our new article, we will talk about the most popular esports communities on Twitch and their results for the last month of summer.

Disclaimer. The ranking is based on the number of Hours Watched, spent by the audience on Twitch broadcasts of the streamers of esports organizations over the course of the month – without taking into account the esports viewership statistics.

Luminosity Gaming remains in the lead with 26.4M Hours Watched. Their indicator grew by 23% compared to July. The community’s #1 streamer is still xQc, with 19.1M Hours Watched – which is 72% of the community’s overall Hours Watched. The owners of the second and third spots also remained unchanged: ShivPFS (1.9M Hours Watched) and Elded (1.7M Hours Watched).

Faze Clan climbed from 9th to 2nd spot in the ranking, and their Hours Watched grew by 68%. Nickmercs, with his Apex Legends streams, was responsible for the largest portion of hours watched for the month – 11.6M. Nick originally preferred streaming CoD: Warzone, but then switched to the discipline that’s new to him. The second spot went to SWAGG with 1.8M Hours Watched. The third spot went to Mongraal, who increased his Hours Watched by half when compared to July 2021. Mongraal’s participation in Fortnite esports competitions influenced the growth of his results.

TSM dropped one spot in the top, but increased Hours Watched by 4% (up 1M). However, from the whole community, only TSM_IMPERIALHAL managed to generate more than 2M Hours Watched.

NRG Esports surpassed LOUD and claimed the fourth spot in the ranking - although the team’s indicator dropped by 4% compared to July. Sodapoppin became the community’s #1 streamer with 4.8M Hours Watched. Brazilians from Loud lost 7% of their Hours Watched indicator as compared to July. Also, loud_coringa continues to be the community’s achiever, currently responsible for 87% of the team’s Hours Watched.

The second part of the top contains Cloud9, T1, and Team Liquid. The noteworthy newcomers include DeToNator and Heretics. The former community hails from Japan, and fps_shaka became its #1 streamer, reaching the mark of 6.8M Hours Watched for the month. When it comes to Heretics, it was the organization’s owner theGrefg that stood out the most with his 4.9M Hours Watched.
