Fifteen Twitch Rivals tournaments took place in July. Streamers mostly competed in various video games, and the only event with IRL content was held at TwitchCon Amsterdam 2022. One-third of July's Twitch Rivals events were hosted in Fall Guys, which is enjoying immense popularity again with gamers after switching to the F2P distribution model. Tournaments were held in Japan, Thailand, Brazil, North America and Europe. The most popular tournament of the month is Twitch Rivals Fall Guys Season 1 Showdown EMEA, which drew 228.6K Peak Viewers in July. That number was achieved thanks to a high level of activity from Spanish-language streamers, particularly Ibai, who attracted over 81.5K Peak Viewers. Team TheGrefg became the champion of the event, which also featured Aitorek, MrKeroro10 and RodriiFN_.
At the same time, Twitch Rivals Fall Guys Season 1 Showdown North America ranks second with 203.3K Peak Viewers, and xQc became its most popular streamer, drawing just under 81K Peak Viewers. The champion of the event was the ibabyrainbow team, which also included Anthemum89, Triumph and VoiceOverDonny.
Third place by Peak Viewers goes to Twitch Rivals Ultimate Challenge III, which drew nearly 147.3K PV. TwitchCon Amsterdam 2022 hosted the third event of the series, in which participants competed against each other in both IRL Challenges and video games. The tournament was won by the pair of JeelTV and Tonton, followed by Skyyart and TheGuill84 in second place.
Fourth place with 118K Peak Viewers is taken by Twitch Rivals Craftmaster LIVE! ft. TubNet, which was also held at TwitchCon Amsterdam 2022. In the event, 32 players, split into 8 teams, underwent mystery challenges in Minecraft, and the tournament champion was the team falsesymmetry, which along with falsesymmetryl herself included OwengeJuiceTV, TapL and illumina1337.
Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Showdown 4 rounds out the Top 5 events of the month. It was watched by nearly 113.4K Peak Viewers, and Team HisWattson (Keoon, HisWattson and Extesyy) became the champion. Read more about the tournament results in our review.
Sixth place is taken by the Twitch Rivals Overwatch 2 Pride Celebration charity tournament, which attracted over 106.2K Peak Viewers. The Trevor Project, the world's largest LGBTQ+ suicide prevention and mental health organization, raised $250K at the end of the event.
July also saw three Twitch Rivals tournaments as part of the Road to TwitchCon ft. Fortnite Zero Build series, where streamers compete for a spot in TwitchCon in San Diego. Read more about it here.
