Trainwreckstv announces community free mental healthcare program

Trainwreckstv announces community free mental healthcare program
Share:

Popular YouTuber & Twitch streamer Tyler Trainwreckstv Niknam donated $350,000 to launch the Community Care Program together with the non-profit organization Rise Above the Disorder (RAD). The initiative is focused on helping those members of the streamer's community who need advice from mental health professionals.

According to the announcement, the named amount of money will be enough for about 12,000 therapy sessions. Members of the community can start therapy in three simple steps:

  • DM the Discord bot to receive a scheduling platform.
  • Talk to RAD staff about what one is looking for in therapy.
  • Start seeing a therapist.
More info can be found in the initial tweet from Trainwreckstv.

Trainwreckstv and RAD are being praised by the community and other creators (including Alexandra Botez, Sequisha, CouRage, mOE, and others) for such a stunning initiative. It also looks like many streamers will follow Nicknam's example, with Ludwig admitting he's already in talks with RAD about his participation in the program.
