Twitch June 2023 results — Diablo IV on top, ironmouse shines as xQc & Amouranth exits leave huge holes

Streams Charts is back with its monthly statistical recollection of the happenings in the streaming world, more specifically, on Twitch. Fextralife — a video game community and news resource fueled by a team of dedicated gamers — roared back to lead the charts after missing out on the rankings in May.

Thanks to the myriad of Valorant events happening across the globe, tarik climbed up the charts as the most-watched individual channel in June, just beating out now-Kick resident xQc. Ironmouse flew the flag high for females and VTubers, while HasanAbi continued to reign atop the Just Chatting mountain peak.

Twitch stats from June when compared to the previous month

When comparing the last two months, June saw higher counts for Peak Viewers and Average Viewers while it fell a bit in the Hours Watched metric. There were almost the same number of active and peak channels, while the average channels number also rose slightly. Diablo IV’s release and hype were a big part of this month doing well in the peak and average concurrent measures, although the number of games streamed was lesser.

Most watched Twitch channels in June 2023

There were two organizations on the list of most-watched Twitch channels last month

On top of this list for June is Fextralife, which constantly finds itself around the podiums of such rankings and is a stronghold for sponsored streams. The channel recorded a massive 17.99M Hours Watched, which is 130% more than the nearest competitor, while the channel's airtime increased by 250% compared to the previous month. It is worth noting that the channel player on Twitch is embedded in various wiki communities of fextralife.com in autoplay mode.

In second is tarik, the famous Sentinels content creator who is also a former CS:GO pro now concentrating on Valorant. He is followed by none other than xQc, who had to settle for third after falling behind by 4%, although his mid-month exit for Kick played a big part in him not registering higher numbers.

Fourth is the official Kings League handle, which has consistently made such leaderboards since its first edition started in January and is in its winter split as we speak. Rounding off the top five is KaiCenat, whose newfound fame on the purple platform has catapulted him into the mainstream and made him one of the most sought-after content creators worldwide today.

Two content creators — shroud and Quin69 — who topped the early viewership charts of Diablo IV, the early June release, made it to the eighth and ninth positions. There was also space for other Twitch megastars like Gaulesironmouse, and ibai, each representing different regions and languages worldwide.

Twitch streamers who were watched the most by viewers in June 2023

German streamer eliasn97, who rose to eighth in last month’s ranking thanks to his Chilli Challenge broadcast from May 15, dropped out of the top ten this time. Ironmouse, in the midst of a record-breaking subathon, which included beating her own all-time female subscriptions record on Day 26 of her streaming run, made it to the top five after entirely missing out in May.

Another broadcaster to rise last month and then fall back down is PurpleBixi, who closely followed the presidential elections in Turkey to set a personal new peak viewership record. ohnePixel was the third online personality to lose out in June, falling out of the top ten after finishing in the ninth spot last time. Having benefitted from the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, he had to undergo leg surgery due to issues with his lymphatic system, which also affected his broadcasting schedule, as he came online just 11 times this month.

Most watched female Twitch streamers in June 2023

Female streamers are slowly catching up to their male counterparts on the purple platform

Leading the line by a distance is ironmouse, who is reaching new levels of fame and success thanks to her aforementioned subathon. She eased past the second-placed Jinnytty by 211%, who saw a solid few months thanks to her highly-successful Waddlethon, but with its end in mid-June, her stats dipped just a bit.

Ukrainian independent VTuber Anny, who resides in Japan, jumped up to third with 1.72M HW thanks to her own birthday subathon. JenFoxxx was another streamer to see a massive rise, finishing in fourth after deciding to jump on the Diablo IV bandwagon despite her relative success in the Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches genre. The duo was able to get past last month’s No 2, rivers_gg, who has streamed for much lesser time this month, although that hasn’t stopped her from improving on her average and peak concurrent viewership numbers from May.

AMOURANTH, a regular on this list, was another to switch to Kick in the middle of June, meaning she is another who will not be seen hereon. However, in her place were the two newcomers mentioned above alongside 赤見かるび and 다주, while the names to lose out are henyathegenius39daph아야츠노_유니, and RevedTV.

Most watched IRL Twitch streamers in June 2023

IRL channels with the most views from June 2023

Last week we significantly revisited our channel and stream filters and added some new ones. One of them is a 'Content type' filter, which includes the ability to filter channels by IRL, Gaming, Sports, Slots, and other content types just in one click (so you do not need to choose all games/categories from specific type). Check IRL filter now.

HasanAbi, a highly-sought after name in the IRL genre, was the numero uno channel on this ranking, notching 5.45M HW. Having gone to Japan and streamed a lot from there, the American of Turkish descent saw three consecutive streams towards the end of June, including his return one from the Far East, registering 300K HW or over, which improved his numbers and pushed him into the 5M mark overall for the month.

Aside from the usual suspects from 2-4 who have already been discussed, the 6th position is taken by 우왁굳, one of the most followed content creators from South Korea who is quite big on Virtual Reality chatting. The rest of the top ten has a diverse portfolio of names ranging from Spain to the USA to Argentina and back to South Korea, including yourragegaming, whose Peak Viewers has shot up by 91% in June, making him worth keeping an eye on come the July list.

Most watched Twitch categories in June 2023

Most watched categories from last month on Twitch

Compared to May, Just Chatting continues to lead the chartsDiablo IV, with an early June release, blew every other game out of the water, finishing as the second-most viewed one with over 156M Hours Watched. It also notched the highest Peak Viewers count among categories when not counting those coming under the IRL genre.

World of Warcraft, which made this list after a while thanks to the hype surrounding the Race To World First, dropped out again, along with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, released on May 12 for the Nintendo Switch. As a result, Fortnite and Rust returned in a neat little replacement cycle over the last two months, with Minecraft also seeing a fall in its position, while Apex Legends was another game to miss out altogether.
