The fourth edition of the Squid Craft Games, or the Twitch Rivals Survival Cup, was held from November 19 to 23, with this being the last installment of the current format. Inspired by the hit South Korean series Squid Game, this blend of a gaming competition and a live reality show enjoyed quite a farewell.
The Twitch Rivals Squid Craft Games 4 (Survival Cup), held in partnership with Twitch Rivals, featured 200 of the top content creators from North America, the Latin American (LATAM) region and Europe. These participants battled for a total prize pool of $100,000, with the winner taking home $50,000.
As always, the Twitch Rivals Survival Cup 4 involved numerous macabre games and challenges, with participants getting eliminated daily until only one remained. Over five days of action, ten minigames were held, with Tivo "TivoTabo" standing tall at the end to emerge as the fourth edition's champion.
Twitch Rivals Squid Craft Games 4 viewership statistics
The Squid Craft Games 4 reached almost 1.3 million Peak Viewers (PV) on the last day, during the final event. Involving TivoTabo and Zorman "ZormanWorld", who was also celebrating his birthday, the finale consisted of a race until one of the participants reached a point on the map that had to be conquered. Along the way, there were different obstacles that both had to overcome.

The 1.3 million peak concurrent viewers that the Twitch Rivals Squid Craft Games 4 (Survival Cup) hit just about beat last year's figures. It also accumulated 13 million Hours Watched (HW), the least among the four iterations, but that was because it had the lowest airtime.
As always, the event was dominated by Spanish-speaking viewers, with the language accounting for over 93% of its overall watch time. However, this edition was also the most diverse, attracting audiences from the Portuguese, French, Norwegian, and Romanian-speaking communities.
Some of the biggest names in the Hispanic community covered the Squid Craft Games 4. This includes its creators, Rubén "Rubius" Doblas and Raul "Auronplay" Alvarez, who ended as its most-watched creators, Samuel "vegetta777" Batuecas, Ivan "spreen" Buhajeruk and Alexis "quackitytoo" Torres.

However, it was winner TivoTabo who emerged as the fourth edition's most popular streamer. In fact, the 268,046 PV that his channel did during the finals was a new record for the Spanish Twitch influencer. None of his previous streams had crossed a peak of 4.5K viewers, showing just how influential such competitions can be in completely changing the careers of their participants.
A look at the chat analytics throughout the event also shows that Felix "xQc" Lengyel and Rubius were the most mentioned participants. They were the only ones to rack up over 20,600 mentions on Twitch across the five days of action-packed mini-games.

Canadian sensation xQc was a special invitee at this competition, much to the delight of his legions of fans. Unfortunately for them, the Twitch and Kick megastar was knocked out on the second day. Nevertheless, the fact that he topped the chat rankings despite not making it to the last few days of action shows just how popular he remains among viewers.
The most popular female participant was "eggs," who was eliminated on Day 3 alongside other prominent names like Mario "DjMaRiiO" Gallardo and Auronplay. The American YouTuber and Twitch creator, one of the more renowned for balancing her broadcasting duties with her role as a mother of one, is popular for her variety streams. Recently, viewers have joined her in playthroughs of games like Dispatch, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
An event started by Carlos "komanche" Gómez, Rubius and Auronplay as a celebration of Minecraft within the Spanish-speaking community of creators ended with a massive bang. Consisting of some of the biggest streamers in the world, it delivered action in spades and left fans with multiple abiding memories.
Whether the trio and Eufonia Studio come up with a successor for the Squid Craft Games remains to be seen, but the series has left an indelible mark on the Minecraft community.
