Most popular streamers of December on Twitch

The first month of winter has affected the rankings of Twitch streamers in a significant way. Many content creators devoted their time for the games rather uncommon for themselves, while one streamer even managed to set a personal record, entering the platform’s top 3 of all time. Let's figure out who has succeeded and who has dropped out of Twitch’s top over the course of December.

This month, xQc has reclaimed the top spot. In November, Felix lost it due to stream-sniping a participant at Twitch Rivals Fall Guys and getting banned for a week. The streamer decided to fix the situation in December, increasing his airtime by 37% - and by extension inсreasing his hours watched by 46%.

Gaules has sustained his viewers’ interest this month by covering the IEM Global Challenge. As the Portuguese-speaking region is widely known by its love for esports (and CS:GO in particular) the tournament helped Alexandre to take the second spot in the ranking. Additionally, he was on the air the longest among all the participants of said ranking: for entire 736 hours.

The third spot was occupied by Ibai. The professional showcaster has managed to update his personal record this month, entering the top-3 Twitch streamers of all time based on the peak viewers indicator. His New Year's broadcast was watched by 552K peak viewers, which is why the New Year’s celebration of the streamer and his fans coincided with celebrating this particular achievement as well. Additionally, Ibai has dedicated some of his time to Rust and its new server from the OfflineTV content creator team.

The Australian streamer Pestily moved up 258 spots in the ranking. He is known for streaming on Escape from Tarkov, which is currently hosting an event in which popular streamers are handing out in-game items on their broadcasts. Because of this, Pestily was watched by 256K peak viewers during the item distribution stream.

Shroud has greatly improved his indicators mostly thanks to the release of Cyberpunk 2077 earlier this month. On December 9th, his broadcast attracted 128K peak viewers. After completing his adventures in Night City, Michael switched to Rust and Escape From Tarkov. Overall, the month has turned out to be rather successful for Grzesiek given that he moved nine spots up the top.

Summit1g was rather productive with 351 hours of airtime, although he only reached half of that mark in November. Over the course of the month he wasn’t merely “Escaping from Tarkov” but also took part in the tournament for the new game Aim Gods. Being so active is what allowed him to take the sixth spot in the ranking, despite not even entering the Twitch top in November.

In December, NICKMERCS distanced himself from his main and favorite game – CoD:Warzone. He was streaming the Fortnite Galactus Event, which was also his most successful stream in December with 128 thousand peak viewers. Nick also played Back 4 Blood and discussed the new student soccer league.

Closing our ranking is Dota2RuHub, a channel that was active for only half a month due to OGA Dota Pit Season 4 and EPIC League. Given the relative lack of esports activity nowadays, the studio dropped by three spots in December.

HasanAbi, LolTyler1, Rubius and Sykkuno could not stay in Decembers’ top, leaving the top 10.

The results of the last month do not end there, as we have prepared a ranking of the month’s most popular categories, as well as the top 5 of esports tournaments. Don't forget to subscribe to our social networks to stay updated regarding the latest events of the industry.
