In April, the Ludwig’s marathon, adventures on the GTA V servers and chat in the pool captured the attention of the audience. In our report, Streams Charts will tell you about the most popular categories of the month, streamers, broadcasts, clips and new records.
Most popular categories of the month
Just Chatting's growth is not stopping. Compared to March, the category has improved its Hours Watched by 19 million. This month, broadcasts from the pool or hot tub have become a thing. Streamers sat in the water, communicated with the audience, and wrote the subscribers’ names on the desks or their bodies for donations.
GTA V is right behind Just Chatting. Hours Watched of the category increased by 30%, and if we consider the growth by week, the game even managed to bypass Just Chatting but did not reach first place in the overall top.
League of Legends’ Hours Watched have dropped slightly since some regional esports leagues ended in March. The rest of the top hasn't changed much: Call of Duty: Warzone has displaced Fortnite, and Valorant has bypassed Minecraft.
Most popular channels of the month
RocketLeague reached first place thanks to RLCS X Spring Split 2021 and gathered 9 million Hours Watched. Dota2mc_ru got into the rating thanks to DPC-competitions in the CIS region.
The three leaders among the male streamers have not changed. XQcOW, Ludwig and Gaules remained in their positions in the same order. Summit1g joined them with 11.9 million Hours Watched thanks to streams on the NoPixel server in GTA V. RanbooLive closed the top five along with his Minecraft broadcasts on the DreamSMP server.
Amouranth's Hours Wahtced increased by 2.9 million in April thanks to hot tub streams. Indiefoxx appeared in third place for the same reason. IamCristinini entirely devoted her time to the Marbella Vice server in GTA V in April and, thanks to it, reached 1.9 million Hours Watched. Ash_on_LoL also played on RP servers and got to the fifth position.
The most popular streams in April
On April 29, British streamer and YouTube Tommyinnit attracted over 617K Peak Viewers on the most watched broadcast of the month. In addition, three more streams of this Minecraft content maker made it to the top 10.
The second most watched broadcast was dedicated to LEC Spring 2021 finals between MAD Lions and Rogue - 381,750 viewers at the peak. The top 10 also include NICKMERCS, QuackityHQ, RanbooLive and Tubbo streams.
The most popular clip in April
