After a year break from the Netherlands and San Diego, TwitchCon is returning to both for its 2024 Europe and North America conventions. TwitchCon was held in both locations in 2022 but was hosted in Paris and Las Vegas last year. Now, TwitchCon is returning to the Netherlands and San Diego and reportedly will be hosted in these locations for years to come.
TwitchCon Europe 2024 takes place from June 29-30 at the Rotterdam Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Tickets are not yet available but will go on sale at some point in February. Previously, TwitchCon Europe was held in Amsterdam, but this year’s convention has moved to Rotterdam. Reportedly, TwitchCon Europe will remain in Rotterdam for both the 2025 and 2026 iterations of the convention too.
TwitchCon North America 2024 takes place from September 20-22 at the San Diego Convention Center. Tickets are also not available at the moment, and currently, there is no rough date for when they will go live. TwitchCon North America has also settled down; Twitch has a standing reservation with the San Diego Convention Center to host TwitchCon until 2028.
Events and activities for the live streaming conventions are not yet finalised, but Twitch has provided an overview of the activities available for fans and streamers alike.
- Artist Alley: Painters, illustrators, and all kinds of artists showcase and sell their designs from within TwitchCon.
- Community MeetUps: Meet new friends, find communities, or meet your internet friends for the first time at the various community meetups planned for TwitchCon.
- Community Sessions: Panel shows, presentations, and live shows with a community-orientated feel.
- Cosplay Community: TwitchCon welcomes all cosplayers to show off their craft and connect with other like-minded creators from around the world.
- Creator Camp: Workshops and talks for creators to improve their game. Presented by Twitch and community experts, creators will learn how to create engaging content and grow their brand.
- Expo Floor: Spend your time at TwitchCon roaming the floor and exploring the newest games and tech, compete in LAN events, or bump into your favourite streamer organically.
- Glitch Theatre: The home of TwitchCon’s live events, from the Opening Ceremony to special streamer-hosted events and much more.
- Interactive Workshops: Develop a skill or learn a new hobby and meet like-minded people.
- Loot Cave: The one-stop destination for all merch available from TwitchCon.
- Meet & Greets: Meet your favourite streamers in the flesh. Reservations are yet to be announced for these events, so keep an eye out if you want to meet a particularly famous streamer.
- Musical Performances: TwitchCon is home to a variety of live music. DJ sets, acoustic performances, and classical musicians are all to be hosted at the Kappa Cabana stage.
- Tabletop: Take a break from the internet and sit down with some friends to enjoy some tabletop games.
- Twitch Rivals Arena: TwitchCon will also be home to some live Twitch Rivals events, where streamers from all over the community come together to compete in a diverse range of games for two full days of competitive shows.
