On October 10, TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023 opened its doors to streamers, enthusiasts, and fans alike. The live-streaming community has flocked to the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada to celebrate the industry, socialise, and enjoy themselves. Streams Charts will be providing viewership statistics of the event throughout.

Compared to the TwitchCon Paris event which was held earlier this year, viewership in all metrics has risen and 30% more streamers went live in Las Vegas to cover the TwitchCon compared to the European convention. Here at Streams Charts, we have all the viewership data for the first day of the event.

TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023 Friday Viewership Statistics

The opening day of TwitchCon Las Vegas was covered by 1.6K individual channels, the large majority of which are smaller amateur streamers. That’s not to say there are no live-streaming titans at the event; 19 creators at the event received more than 5K Average Viewers during their coverage of the convention.

In total, the opening day was streamed for 3.5K hours across all channels, markedly less than the opening day of the Parisian iteration. European TwitchCons run for 2 days only, whereas in America they cover a full 3 days. Airtime and coverage of the event will likely rise as the event moves into the weekend. Despite the lower Airtime, TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023 received 1.65M Hours Watched on its first day, roughly half a million hours more than the European TwitchCon of 2023.

As to be expected, the language distribution of these 1.65M hours was more monolithic than the previous event: a much larger majority of the viewership came directly from English-speaking channels. English language broadcasts were accountable for 83% of all watch time, and German and Portuguese contributed 5.9% and 5.5% of the total watch time, respectively.

Speaking broadly, streamers covering TwitchCon enjoyed a healthy boost to their viewership. Comparing the prior Average Viewers of all streamers at TwitchCon to the Average Viewers received during the event itself, streamers enjoyed a 98% increase in Average Viewers by broadcasting TwitchCon coverage.

The Peak Viewers figure of 28.9K was recorded by Nmplol, who was the most popular streamer on the first day. Let’s take a look at some of the other most popular streamers who covered TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023 so far.

Top Streamers of TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023

Nmplol was the most popular streamer of the opening day, but he was not the most-watched. That title went to JenFoxxx, She was live for over 7 hours and spent her time walking around the event, interacting with fans, and giving viewers an insight into the on-the-ground experience of the convention. She received 154.4K Hours Watched in total and the stream was one of her most-watched in recent times. She also ranked third by Peak Viewers, with 25.7K PV

Nmplol was the second-most-watched creator at the event, recording 100.2K Hours Watched in total. His coverage of the event was well received, and he ranked first overall by Peak Viewers with 28.9K concurrent viewers. Although he was so popular, his road trip streams on the way to Vegas were even more popular. Its only the first day, so the American streamer has plenty of time to garner even more watch time as the event continues.

In third by watch time and second per peak concurrent viewers was JonVlogs. Jon is a Brazillian streamer and is most well-known for his IRL content. The Brazillian spent the first day exploring Las Vegas and giving his viewers a taste of the city. He garnered 85.6K Hours Watched and 26.2K Peak Viewers for his coverage of the event.

EsfandTV and CDawgVA finished off our top channels by watch time, earning 74.5K and 55.3K Hours Watched, respectively. Both streamers received above-average viewership for their TwitchCon coverage, but it wasn’t enough to earn them a higher ranking on this list. AMOURANTH was also one of the most popular streamers, and she received 23.7K Peak Viewers during her short 2-hour broadcast. Her coverage of the event was some of the most-watched content of late, and she would likely be one of the most-watched streamers of the entire event if she was live for longer.

Fittingly, the final channel of our rankings is the official Twitch broadcasting channel. The official channel of the platform was live for the opening ceremony of the convention, and it reached 22.9K PV as CEO Dan Clancy announced that Twitch now allows simulcasting on any live-streaming platform. This means Twitch streamers may now rebroadcast their stream on any platform they want, allowing them to diversify their audience reach and hopefully grow their brand.

Streams Charts has much more data available for the TwitchCon streams, including a streamer profile, where we will take a deeper look at what countries, genders, and languages are represented by the streamers at TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023.
