The Tim Burton series «Wednesday», which tells about the adventures of the daughter of the Addams Family, met the expectations of viewers and became unbelievably popular. At the end of the first week, it broke Netflix's record for Hours Watched among English-language series. Thanks to the social media hype, the show's performance in the second week was even higher. In a new Streams Charts article, we compare the statistics on «Wednesday» and other popular shows on the service to similar metrics of esports and streaming.
The first season of «Wednesday» was released on Netflix on November 23 and amassed more than 341.2 million Hours Watched by the end of the first week. That is nearly 2% higher than the service's previous record, which was set by the fourth season of «Stranger Things» in June of this year. At the same time, the second week's total was 411.3 million Hours Watched.

In addition, Tim Burton's masterpiece amassed 11 times more HW in two weeks than IEM Rio Major 2022, and about as many as the last six Worlds in LoL accumulated in total.
