More than half the year has gone, and platforms continue to grow from strength to strength as the esports and entertainment sectors also evolve to reach newer heights. YouTube Gaming, too, has been increasing steadily and putting up numbers that befit the parent brand and company.
This month’s ranking of the most watched and popular channels follows the same trend as the rest of the year, with VTubers continuing to show out. There are a few new names, showing there is a space to be successful for those talented, smart, and hard-working enough to take advantage of the prevailing circumstances. However, what is undisputed is the hold the Asian market continues to have on the dynamics of the red platform and the resultant success of content creators from this region across metrics.
YouTube Gaming also did post some solid numbers in July. Interestingly, it attracted more than 9M Peak Viewers and saw 350K-plus active channels: very solid numbers for the platform.

Atop this list is Sensa Gaming GG with 5.12M HW, helped by the fact that it had airtime of 492 hours across July, 147.5% more than any other entry on this top ten leaderboard. Of course, it helps that the people running this handle continue to ‘share slot tips and tricks wrapped in humor so that everyone is entertained.’
Second, and completing an Indonesian one-two, is Jonathan Liandi, the ex-Mobile Legends: Bang Bang pro who continues to entertain fans back home with his broadcasts of the game’s live action. With the various MPL, MDL, and LATAM events ongoing since the beginning of last month, he has been busy bringing news about the same to not only fans in his country but also across Asia and the globe.
Rounding off the podium is another regular on such lists, Kuzuha Channel, who jumped from sixth in June’s standings to third this time around. What helped was that he played a lot of Grand Theft Auto V — one of the most popular games to stream today — leading to his airtime increasing by 27.1% and a jump of 82% in the watch hours he registered across July.
Coming in fourth is Pekora Ch, one of the leading VTubers on the red platform today and someone who topped the list in May before settling for third the month after. Following her is Lauren Iroas, another VTuber (from NIJISANJI) and GTA V enthusiast who has steadily climbed up the charts across the year to finally nail a sport on this top ten table.
The last five entries in the top ten include June’s topper, NOBRU, in seventh, a famous Hispanic online star, another NIJISANJI VTuber, and two more Asian streamers renowned for their associations with FIFA Mobile and MLBB.
Russian streamer MrLololoshka is first here, thanks to his stream of an ongoing storyline in Minecraft that has had audiences' attention throughout. Next is Pekora Ch, who continues to cement her legacy as perhaps the most prominent and successful VTuber, certainly from hololive, to come out of Japan.
Fourth is xBuyer, whose side in the Kings League went all the way and won the second season of the hotly-followed Twitch football competition. His women’s team also made the semifinals, losing to eventual runner-up Las Troncas FC, with both tournaments being some of the most popular non-esports events ever. Another renowned YouTuber with a roster in the Kings League, DjMaRiiO, is fifth, with his boys making the first round of the Playoffs.
The last five entries are made up of popular esports pros like India’s Jonathan Gaming and Indonesia’s Maxhill Antimage and two famous VTubers in Shiina Yuika and Lize Helesta. Last but not least is the incomparable IShowSpeed, who is perhaps the most recognizable American YouTuber and continues to grow at a swift pace with his whacky, high-energetic content.
Most watched and popular channels of gaming organizations in July 2023 on YouTube
The official Vietnamese channel of Arena of Valor, Lien Quan Mobile eSports-Garena, tops this leaderboard with 9.58M HW thanks to the Arena of Valor Premier League 2023. This mid-season event held in Bangkok became the most popular tournament in the discipline’s history and significantly improved the game’s viewership performances on YouTube and TikTok.
The official MPL Indonesia channel is next, with the league in its twelfth season and continuing to attract millions of viewers. The previous season ended as the fourth most popular event in the series, and it continued the country’s reputation as by far the biggest market for the discipline globally.
Coming in third is the official channel of the LCK, which has been broadcasting the ongoing LCK Summer 2023, which has been running since June and will end on August 22. In fact, it was the third-most-popular esports event two months back, with Korean audiences making sure to catch all the action live.
Garena RoV Thailand, the official Thai channel for Arena of Valor, is fourth because of its constant coverage of the record-setting Arena of Valor Premier League 2023. Following it is the official MLBB eSports channel, which has been pretty busy keeping up with the various competitions happening simultaneously across the world.
The bottom five names include one more MLBB channel (Indonesia), two slots and casino accounts from the same country, and the official Overwatch League handle — the only Western representative on this top ten standings. There is also the train-related channel, Fumikiri World, which was third in June but down in tenth spot this time.
The top two are the same as above, with a swap between the two being the only difference. Third is the official Japanese Monster Strike channel, which broadcast the much-anticipated Monster Strike Dreamdaze 2023, which became its most popular and third-most watched stream.
Three MLBB channels mentioned already take up the next three slots, while the Thai Arena of Valor handle is seventh. In the eighth and ninth spots are two India-based channels — iQOO ESPORTS and KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS — that streamed Battlegrounds Mobile India-related events. Last is LCK, the Korean official channel for the country’s top-tier LoL competition.

Hololive’s Pekora Ch tops this list yet again, maintaining her iron grip on the viewers when it comes to getting them to watch her content for a longer time. NIJISANJI’s Shiina Yuika comes in next, followed by two more hololive VTubers — Koyori ch and Subaru Ch. The top five are rounded off by another NIJISANJI representative, Nui Sociere.
The next five names are also mostly filled with those from these two VTuber agencies, with Korone Ch and Miko Ch turning up for hololive. Lize Helesta and ars almal, meanwhile, are part of NIJISANJI, making Ichinose Uruha of Virtual eSports Project the odd one out here but by no means an undeserving entrant here.
The top three have all also had the most watched standing, with the first new name — NIJISANJI's Higuchi Kaede — coming in the fourth spot. Her agency mate, Igarashi Rika, is fifth, making the third to sixth spots a lockdown for their company. In a neat circle, hololive’s Noel Ch and Aqua Ch join their organization peers in clinching the last four positions on this table.
