After dominating for much of the year, VTubers continued to stay away from the limelight in November, which some might say is a good thing as it brings other names, including lesser-known ones, into the picture. But that doesn't mean there weren't the few usual suspects who continued to be highly active and have fans quite a lot of entertaining content in the gaming sphere.
However, after a strong three months, last month was a sort of downtime for YouTube Live and its streamers, with the festive seasons beginning to play a part as well. Like October, it also saw a lot of fresh faces take up residence in the various lists that Streams Charts curates each month, so that will be a relief for fans of these online stars.
First, let's address the fact that YouTube's watch time fell by a significant 24% to 2.565B Hours Watched, which is still admittedly a lot. Even a rival like Twitch would bite a person’s hand off if it was given this number as its average count over the year. Of course, it has to be noted that the purple platform has not crossed 2B HW this year, while it did so just once in 2022, during the very month of the year.
However, almost every metric saw a fall for YouTube Live in November, so the company will hope that 2023 ends on a high come December. There was good news for YouTube Gaming, though, which saw a rise in its share of the site's overall watch time to 14.6% after seeing falls in the previous two months.
Most-watched YouTube Gaming streamers in November 2023
The most-watched YouTube Gaming handle last month was Inoxtag, the French streamer known to play titles like Fortnite and Among Us. In fact, it was the former that helped him reach such a large number, as he participated in many events, including the coveted €100K Fortnite French Cup (Coupe de France de Fortnite) that he hosted. To get ready for such a popular event, he practiced with the likes of Gotaga (his Duos partner during the competition) and aminematue, which undoubtedly did wonders for his watch time across November.
Second was the legendary online personality, NOBRU, who hit 3.92M HW. All his time on air was spent playing and streaming Garena Free Fire, including the CPN X. It is the emulator tournament — a rebranded version of the former Copa Nobru — he organizes. The Brazilian also showed off a lot of his gameplay and skill in the game when climbing up the ranked ladder, which included teaming up with pros like XAUAN and MANOMAX.
Coming in third was IShowSpeed, the ever-popular American star who can hardly find himself out of the limelight nowadays. Most of his broadcasts were of the IRL variety interspersed with gaming, although he did give the OG Fortnite update a few tries, including playing with the likes of Mongraal and NickEh30.
Next was Kuzuha Channel, finally bringing the erstwhile dominant VTubers back into the fold. The NIJISANJI member has a strong argument to be the most-watched name from his genre this year, certainly when it comes to male stars. For those keeping count, he kept himself last month playing games like Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, Valorant, Street Fighter 6, and League of Legends.
Rounding off the top five was TimTheTatman, helping North America double its presence on this list from October 2023. He was mostly busy playing OG Fortnite, like so many other colleagues from that part of the world, while he did give some time to his other love, Rainbow Six Siege, which he played a bit with his buddies.
Following the American was XINNN, who is celebrating his channel anniversary today, so congratulations on that milestone. The Indonesian, like so many others in his country, was busy playing and covering Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. CEROL is the third Brazilian name to make this standing, and he, too, was occupied with mostly playing and covering Free Fire.
The next two were taken by names fans will be familiar with, as VTubers Pekora Ch and Koyori ch finished ninth and tenth. Both hololive members have not been as busy as they are known to be, but even when they are not as active on average across 30 days, they get enough watch time to finish within the top ten of such lists.
Ninja came in tenth, with his recent switch to Kick kicking up quite the storm online. The Fortnite icon has been one of the oldest and most prominent names synonymous with a successful streaming career, and his move to the upstart platform played a major part in Twitch changing its rules to now allow its creators to multistream across services.
Most popular YouTube Gaming streamers in November 2023
Half of this list is populated by names who have already received mentions in the leaderboard above, but it is a great credit to them that they were able to generate so much watch time and popularity that they could appear in this article twice. Someone like Inoxtag finishing at the top both times also proves just how enduringly popular Fortnite is and how a return to its roots might just signal a second boom for it on major streaming services.
Coming to the new names, the highest-placed entry is jun channel, one of the most popular YouTubers in Japan. A former health professional, he is famous for his playthrough videos of multiple games and for being open to interacting with his audiences on a regular basis. He streamed just thrice across November, but such is his drawing ability that it was enough to give him 118K Peak Viewers and send him so high up this table.
Hoàng Luân is fourth here, with the Vietnamese spending most of his time covering the League of Legends World Championship 2023, as the game is highly popular in the country. Next is 감스트GAMST, a massive Manchester United fan who has covered a lot of the teams’ games across November and also plays games like EA Sports FC 24 and Tekken 7.
渋谷ハル comes in seventh as the only VTuber on this leaderboard, with the Neo-Porte member playing games like Apex Legends and Valorant to keep herself busy. The last name is LazarBeam, the only Australian representative this month, and he, too, took up Fortnite as his only broadcasting activity, with his four streams last month helping him to a high of 88K PV.
Most-watched YouTube Gaming Organization Channels in November 2023

Most watched and popular YouTube Gaming organization channels last month
There is very little surprise that the three most watched channels of organizations on YouTube last month were from LoL. With the World 2023 breaking records and setting new benchmarks for esports, its official Korean and Vietnamese channels, alongside the main one, swept the podium.
With the ICC Cricket World Cup, an event that happens once every four years, also taking place across the first three weeks of November, there were three Indian channels that made these rankings. Home side India, easily the largest market for the game globally, went on a dream unbeaten run until it lost in the final, but these performances were enough to get the internet community talking.
The MPL Indonesia channel also made an entry at sixth, with the M5 World Championship having begun in the last week of the month and continuing till the third week of December. There was also an Argentine channel, Radio Con Vos 89.9, that came in eighth, thanks to its coverage of various topics of interest from around the world and within the South American country.
The official PUBG MOBILE Esports and PUBG MOBILE Indonesia channels also made this table thanks to the ongoing PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2023. This $3M prize pool tournament began at the start of November and will run until the second week of December.
Last month was busy for YouTube Gaming, with so many important esports events starting and many things happening across the globe. However, what can be said for certain is that it remains a stronghold for mobile esports and retains a massive market in the Asian and LATAM markets. These two regions continue to be highly lucrative for the Google-owned company, and with the way things are going, readers can expect that to continue well into the new year.
