007 First Light is an action-adventure game developed and published by IO Interactive. Based on Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels and the long-running film franchise, the game follows a younger version of the British secret agent before he becomes the legendary 007.
The game tells an original origin story centered on Bond’s first major mission. At 26, this version of James Bond is still a raw, inexperienced MI6 agent, far from the polished operative audiences know from the films. 007 First Light officially launched worldwide on May 27, but players who pre-ordered the game received access one day earlier. Due to time zone differences and the short Early Access window, we tracked viewership across both days to capture the full impact of the game’s launch.
Across May 26 and 27, 007 First Light broadcasts generated more hours watched in just two days than Forza Horizon 6 accumulated over its entire five-day launch period.
Sponsored streams accounted for roughly 8.8% for 007 First Light. By comparison, sponsored broadcasts made up 5.4% of Forza Horizon 6’s launch viewership. The comparison is not entirely one-to-one, however, as 007 First Light also benefited from an active Twitch Drops campaign, which helped boost its organic reach.

Twitch was the leading platform for 007 First Light streams, generating more than 4.49 million Hours Watched across May 26 and 27. That performance made the game the second-most-watched title on Twitch during the period.

In terms of peak concurrent viewership, Zack “zackrawrr” Hoyt, also known as Asmongold, was the top 007 First Light streamer, reaching just under 50K Peak Viewers during his broadcast. Félix “xQc” Lengyel and alanzoka completed the top three.
007 First Light has shown especially strong traction among American viewers, while its reception across international markets has been more subdued.
