The All-Star Warzone Event for $150,000 — TimTheTatman's 2v2 Kill Race Overview

Call of Duty: Warzone’s prime time as a streaming category might be over, but high viewership is inevitable when all the top streamers of the game gather at tournaments. And that’s exactly what happened at TimTheTatman's 2v2 Kill Race, which featured an all-star list of participants. Streams Charts breaks down results of the championship and analyzes how popular the event was compared to other streamer competitions in the discipline.

TimTheTatman is known as one of the most popular Call of Duty enthusiasts among streamers, so teaming up with BoomTV to produce top Warzone content was a natural thing for Tim. And the stakes at 2v2 event were rather high, as players fought for a share of $150,000 & winners taking home $66,000.

Tournament featured 32 players from all over the world, including France, Germany and England, but the the most popular participants, of course, were representatives of the United States: DrLupoAydanHusKerrsDrDisrespect and others.

As the name of the tournament suggests, the participants were split into pairs to play in a double elimination bracket. The teams fought for two days, and team fifakill & jukeyz became the winners of the event as they beat the duo ScummN & unrational in the final.

The event was streamed on April 6-7, and over 15 hours and 30 minutes of broadcast it amassed over 1.4 million Hours Watched with an average audience of 91.7K people.

The biggest concurrent audience was reached on the first day of the event. Tim teamed up with Doc and it was their games that were followed by the most viewers. Alas, the star duo almost immediately dropped out of the competition: first they lost to jessiecooks & Sitrehp, and in the lower bracket they were beaten by sallyisadog & speros. But the audience still got a lot of fun, and at the peak their number reached 176.8K people.

Interestingly, Tim still covered the remaining matches of the tournament, but on the second day the number of spectators reached only 86K Peak Viewers, which two times less than on the first day.

It is not surprising that the top streamers in terms of peak audience were Tim and Doc, who who attracted 50K & 40K PV, respectively. The top 3 by the metric also includes Aydan, whose matches were simultaneously watched by up to 15.6K people.

Tim's channel became the most popular in terms of total watch time, accounting for more than 37% of the total tournament result. The top 3 by this indicator also included swagg and Doc.

The tournament was broadcast not only on Twitch and YouTube, but also on Facebook. Similarly, the broadcast languages in addition to English were German, Italian, French and Portuguese.

English, without surprises, became the main broadcast language of the tournament, as it accounted for over 90% of the total hours watched. German and Italian came in second and third, largely due to the large audience of moonrydekayzahr and cpentagon.

***

TimTheTatman's $150,000 2v2 Kill Race has become one of the most watched Warzone tournaments of 2022. In terms of peak viewers, it is second only to Hitch Hide 'n Seek Warzone Tournament (which also featured Tim and Doc), and it currently holds first place by total Hours Watched. Impressive!
