Popular American Twitch streamer Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt (also known as zackrawrr) has announced that he’ll start livestreaming on Kick in early June. Going forward, his streams will be available on both platforms simultaneously. Asmongold made it clear he has no plans to leave Twitch, but sees multistreaming as a way to reach a wider audience.
“I think multistreaming is the future. Focusing on a single platform and forcing exclusivity is limiting for content creators.”
- Asmongold
According to Asmongold, switching to multistreaming could offer some added stability in his career. If his channel were ever suspended on one platform, he explained, he’d still be able to continue streaming on the other. During a recent broadcast, he noted that some creators have faced permanent bans from Twitch over content that didn’t align with the platform’s guidelines. He cited the example of Steven “Destiny” Bonnell II, who was banned in 2022 and now streams on Kick.
Asmongold confirmed that he’s joined the Kick Partner Program but reassured fans that he has no plans to stream gambling or online casino content. He also shared why he’s currently not considering multistreaming on YouTube, citing the platform’s strict enforcement of DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) rules as the main reason.
Asmongold is currently one of the most popular English-speaking streamers on Twitch. In the first quarter of 2025, his channel, zackrawrr, ranked second on the platform for total watch hours. His all-time peak viewership hit over 311,000 concurrent viewers during a livestream covering Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration on January 20.
On his secondary channel, zackrawrr, Asmongold primarily streams in the Just Chatting category, where he discusses trending topics and news ranging from politics to entertainment. He also regularly plays major new game releases.
