Popular YouTuber superstar groups AMP (Any Means Possible) and the Beta Squad came together to host a charity football match. Beta Squad streamed the event live to their YouTube channel and more than 750,000 concurrent viewers tuned in to watch the game. The event held between the two groups was hosted in aid of The Water Project, a non-profit organization which aims to bring fresh water to those communities which struggle to access clean water.
The Beta Squad is one of the UK’s largest creator groups, and they boast over 9.6M Subscribers on their YouTube channel. AMP is an American content group with 5M Subscribers on their collective YouTube channel, and is also home to Kai Cenat, one of North America’s leading content creators with 10.74M Followers on Twitch.
When the charity match’s stream began on Beta Squad’s channel, over 280K concurrent viewers immediately tuned in, and this only grew as the event continued. In total, the event garnered 992.3K Hours Watched across over just two hours of broadcasting time.
The charity match was viewed by over 750.5K Peak Viewers towards the end of the second half, and the entire match held an average viewership of 476.3K concurrent viewers. This event was Beta Squad’s first foray into live streaming on their official YouTube channel, and needless to say, expectations were more than surpassed.

The event was also covered by a handful of American and English streamers on both YouTube Live and Twitch, but these streams received viewership that pales in comparison to the official broadcast. American streamer jidionpremium was one of the event’s many guest stars and streamed a training session for the match, which received 1.7K PV. Canadian Twitch streamer Deansocool was the most popular community caster to cover the event, and he received only 2.9K PV.
Beta Squad’s official highlights of the charity match
The event did receive less viewership than the Sidemen 2023 charity match, which garnered over 2.54M Peak Viewers, but Sidemen’s charity event has been in action for years, and had many opportunities to build up a more extensive audience over this period. While Beta Squad and AMP’s collaboration was not able to compete with the popularity of Sidemen’s 2023 event, it is the first collaborative event for Beta Squad and AMP and the viewership achieved is still a success for a debut event.
Unfortunately, AMP and Beta Squad’s charity event was cut short. At 90 minutes of regular time, the scores were tied at 6-6 after a last-minute equalizer, necessitating a penalty shootout. As the event reached its culmination and excitement skyrocketed, a large pitch invasion halted the event. Hundreds of fans stormed the pitch at London’s Selhurst Park Stadium, leading to an irreparable disruption of the match. Sadly, the event had to be called off, as the organizers could not regain control of the fans and the stadium.
Many creators involved with the event have spoken out against the pitch invasion, with many of them disappointed in fans disrupting the event which hundreds of thousands of viewers were watching from home. However, not all is grim for the event; Kai Cenat proposed a rematch against Beta Squad hosted in America to determine the final champion. Fans may luckily have another charity match to look forward to in the near future.
