World of Warcraft: Forever was one of the biggest announcements of BlizzCon 2026, while Overwatch 2 also received several major reveals. Combined with esports competition held during the event, the announcements drove substantial growth for both games on Twitch. World of Warcraft became the platform's most-watched game by Hours Watched over the weekend, while Overwatch entered the top five; both categories recorded increases of more than 620% in Hours Watched and Average Viewers.

Esports contributed to that growth as well: World of Warcraft hosted the MDI Midnight — Season 1: Global Finals, while Overwatch staged its first World Cup in three years.
