On January 24, Brazilian Twitch creator Casimiro streamed the premiere episode of Netflix's documentary series about football star Neymar. The broadcast peaked at 545,599 people, which is a new record not only for Casimiro's channel, but also for Portuguese-language Twitch in general.
Permission for the exclusive broadcast and reaction to the first episode of Neymar: The Perfect Chaos series was granted to Casimiro by the Netflix Brazilian office.
The stream lasted for an hour and 45 minutes. During this time, the premiere episode was watched by 878,800 Unique Viewers on Casimiro’s channel. Peak Viewers number reached 545,599, while the average number of viewers was almost 390,800.
The previous Brazilian Twitch record was held by bakzera: on February 12, 2021, his Garena Free Fire stream was watched by 506,797 concurrent viewers.
The three-part series Neymar: The Perfect Chaos will be available on Netflix on January 25. Directed by David Charl Rodriguez, the Netflix series includes interviews with David Beckham, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and many other prominent players who talk about Neymar's impact in sports history.
