Polish-based game developer CD Projekt RED halts all sales to gamers from Russia and Belarus until further notice. The decision was made upon the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The company, which is famous for the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 & The Witcher game series, is currently in talks with its partners to suspend digital sales of its games. GOG platform was named among the ones to stop distributing CDPR's titles.
The company has admitted that its decision will affect those who have nothing to do with the war, yet it believes that this action will 'galvanize the global community to speak about what's going on in the heart of Europe'. As part of the support towards Ukrainian people CDRP also donated 1 mln PLN to Polish charity organization
Earlier, users from Russia drew attention to problems with buying games in the Steam store. The platform from Valve began to reject payments made from cards of Russian banks.
