The long-awaited release of Diablo Immortal took place a week ago. And although gamers smash rating aggregators with negative reviews, this does not prevent the mobile game from selling in millions of copies and gathering hundreds of thousands of viewers on streaming platforms. Streams Charts breaks down Twitch viewership of the title, which lacked just a little to enter the overall top 10 of the platform by Hours Watched.
In total, Diablo Immortal scored over 6.5 million Hours Watched with an average audience of more than 39K concurrent viewers in the seven days after the release. In terms of total watch time, the title became 12th in the overall rating of Twitch categories: the Diablo Immortal's total Hours Watched turned out to be 12% less than that of CoD: Warzone, which closes the top 10. Diablo Immortal also became the most watched mobile-only game during June 2-8. Compared to other worldwide-popular games like PUBG Mobile & Garena Free Fire, the new one was far ahead by main metrics.
The most successful was the release day, when the game attracted over 242K concurrent viewers on Twitch at peak. As one can see from the graph with dynamics, since then the audience of the title on Twitch has been falling: for example, the peak of the seventh day turned out to be 83% lower than the first day peak. Diablo Immortal's Twitch audience will obviously continue to decline, but if the rate of viewer outflow won't be very fast, it will be able to stay in the top 20 of the platform for another week.

Most popular Diablo Immortal streamers by PV / HW
One of the hottest topics around Diablo Immortal is the microtransaction system, the abundance of which largely contributed to the fact that the game has collected some of the lowest ratings from users in the history of Metacritic. This topic is also discussed by Asmongold fans, who became the game's most popular streamer for the week with a peak of 117K concurrent viewers. Interestingly, Zack's second channel zackrawrr also made it to the top 10 with 12K Peak Viewers.
The rest of the top streamers of the game gathered a much smaller audience on broadcasts. For example, Quin69, who became the second by the metric, attracted 30K Peak Viewers. At the same time, the native of New Zealand turned out to be the leader in terms of total Hours Watched: viewers watched his broadcasts in total 1.16 million HW; this is 27% more than Asmongold collected.
Many other popular creators from around the world also tried out the new game. The rankings by peak viewers and total Hours Watched included such well-known streamers as shroud, LIRIK & stylishnoob4. Interestingly, among the channels by Peak Viewers can be found Gaules, who didn't actually play the game, he was just switching between categories during one of the recent broadcasts.
