ESLAND Awards ceremony was held on 17 January in Barcelona, and the best Spanish-speaking streamers of the year 2021 were awarded there. The ceremony was organized by David 'TheGrefg' Cánovas Martínez and took place at the Palau de la Música Catalana. Streams Charts will tell you who was named the best, and how many viewers the event attracted.
The ESLAND Awards took place as befits a high-level event. Guests and award nominees walked the red carpet, did flash interviews with reporters and, of course, drew applause from fans. One of the most famous Spanish tabloids, Marca, provided LIVE coverage of the event as well.
During the ESLAND Awards, 17 awards were presented. Nominees were all of the most famous Spanish-language creators on Twitch and YouTube: Ibai, Auronplay, JuansGuarnizo, Rubius, IamCristinini, and others.
Among the award winners was Agüero, the footballer and owner of esports organization KRÜ Esports Kun SLAKUN10. He was nominated for the clip of the year. IRL streamer Kidi and e-athlete mixwell were awarded too. The top award went to Ibai, who also won in the "Fail of the year" category (for the ridiculous photo of Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro's kiss).
The ESLAND Awards was broadcast exclusively on TheGrefg channel. The event was broadcast for about six hours and in that time almost 1.9 million Unique Viewers watched it.
The Average Viewers number of the event never fell below 634K, and the Peak Viewers number of 1.069 million spectators was reached at the time of presenting the ceremony's main award. In total, the event amassed 3.69 million Hours Watched, and TheGrefg attracted over 65K new followers during the broadcast.
In terms of audience, the ESLAND Awards was significantly ahead of another popular award — Coscu Army Awards 2021. The ceremony from the Argentine streamer Coscu took place in December, when the best creators of Latin America were awarded. TheGrefg ceremony turned out to be several times more popular in terms of peak and average audience.
We should remind you that TheGrefg is Twitch's record holder for Peak Viewers. At the beginning of last year, his stream featuring the presentation of his own skin in Fortnite was watched by as many as 2.47 million Peak Viewers. The Spaniard is also one of the top 10 most watched creators in 2021.
