Most Popular Facebook Gaming Categories in November 2022
PUBG Mobile once again became the most popular category on Facebook Gaming in November. Over the month, the mobile shooter's performance remained virtually unchanged, racking up 24.5 million Hours Watched and attracting 145K Peak Viewers. In comparison, PUBG Mobile had 24.6 million HW and 118.4K PV at the end of October.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang holds second place in the ranking, although the HW number of the category decreased significantly (from 21.5 million HW in October to 17.4 million HW in November). The reason for this drop is that the MPL regional leagues ran in October, and in November there was a relative lull in the Mobile Legends esports scene.
Garena Free Fire keeps its place in the Top 3 and, even increasing its metrics slightly. In November, the Mobile “Battle Royale” racked up 13.3 million HW (+5%) and drew 42K PV (+6%). The Free Fire World Series 2022 Bangkok broadcasts, which also ran on Facebook Gaming, helped in part.
Grand Theft Auto V takes fourth place in the ranking. The iconic game by Rockstar racked up more than 12.7 million HW and attracted 70K PV on Facebook Gaming in November. In comparison, it had 11.8 million HW and 50K PV in October. Streams of RP servers have remained popular on the platform.
In November, the mobile MOBA Arena of Valor's metrics declined slightly, but this did not stop the game from retaining its place in the Top 5 of the ranking. Last month, it accumulated 5.08 million HW (-6%) and drew 32K PV (-4%). It should be noted that in November, there was also a lull in the Arena of Valor esports scene, but on December 3, Honor of Kings International Championship 2022 will start in China with a prize pool of $10 million.
As for other ranking changes, FIFA 23 ranks sixth. In November, the football simulator accumulated 3.5 million HW and drew 150K PV. It is interesting that the rise in popularity of the FIFA category on Facebook Gaming coincided exactly with the start of the FIFA World Cup, which is currently taking place in Qatar. Some streamers began to play matches of the championship in the FIFA 23 itself, which could accidentally or deliberately mislead football fans. A similar increase in activity is also seen in the eFootball PES 2021 category.
The Dota 2 category dropped from sixth to ninth place over the month. The International 2022 helped Valve's MOBA accumulate almost 4.6 million HW in October, and in November, this number dropped to 2.4 million. At the same time, the PV number dropped from 71.1K to 19K people.
As for other categories, Call of Duty: Mobile and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 retains its place in the Top 10, while Age of Empires and League of Legends dropped out of the ranking, losing to football simulators.
Most Popular Facebook Gaming Channels in November 2022
Tarboun from Egypt became the most watched Facebook Gaming streamer in November. In a month, his channel accumulated 1.2 million HW thanks to PUBG Mobile broadcasts. Recall that earlier in the ranking first place was held by the MPL Philippines channel (2.5 million HW), which hosted broadcasts of regional leagues in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
The Maherco gaming channel, which held a similar position in October, is in second place. In November, the channel was on air for 131 hours and accumulated 1.1 million HW in that time. Along with the leader, Maherco gaming mainly broadcasted PUBG Mobile.
The official Garena Liên Quân Mobile channel (the Vietnamese equivalent of Arena of Valor) ranks third in the November ranking with 684K HW. This result was achieved thanks to the broadcasts of the Arena of Valor Premier League 2022 tournament. It should be noted that in October, Garena Liên Quân Mobile was not even in the Top 10 most watched channels on the platform.
The Spanish streamer Zelika, who accumulated more than 595K HW in 122 hours of Airtime, takes fourth place in the Top of Facebook Gaming channels. Zelika mostly played Garena Free Fire during a month but sometimes streamed different installments of Call of Duty as well. In the previous ranking, the Spaniard was not in the Top 10 either.
The channel of Vietnamese streamer Chim Sẻ Đi Nắng jumped from sixth to fifth position. In November, thanks to broadcasts on Ages of Empires, the channel accumulated 578K HW — 12K HW more than it had in October.
As for the second half of the ranking, LordKebun (577K HW), Ramee (557K HW) and Nam Blue (546K HW) channels remained in the Top 10, and Spartakuz (522K) and Mr. Arzo Gaming (504K) are newcomers to the ranking in November. By the way, the latter made the biggest contribution to the growth of the FIFA 23 category on the platform (as we wrote above).
