Facebook Gaming is hugely popular in Southeast Asia, and that is why the platform's Top 10 categories differ a lot from the similar Top on Twitch.
The most popular category in May is PUBG Mobile, which accumulated more than 38 million Hours Watched in a month. It should be noted that this Battle Royale has been holding the leadership on Facebook Gaming almost as stable as Just Chatting on Twitch.
In second place in popularity with a result of 32.2 million Hours Watched is another mobile game — Mobile Legends. It became the leader by Peak Viewers, attracting more than 520K people on May 20, the day of 31st SEA Games ML:BB Grand Finals.
Grand Theft Auto V rounds out Facebook Gaming's Top-3 in May. Thanks to the popularity of RP content, the game amassed more than 22.3 million Hours Watched in a month. However, the result of Garena Free Fire, which took 4th place, is only 1.5% lower.
The other Facebook Gaming categories in the Top-10 in May racked up fewer than 10 million Hours Watched. It is interesting that Arena of Valor, COD: Warzone, COD: Mobile, Dota 2, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and Valorant together totalled 22% fewer than PUBG Mobile and the result of these games was almost equal to Mobile Legends.
Most Popular Channels on Facebook Gaming in May 2022
In May, the most popular channel on the platform is MPL Philippines, which accumulated more than 1.7 million Hours Watched in a month. It is noteworthy that this result was reached in just 4 days of broadcasting. On May 1, the channel broadcast the MPL Philippines Season 9 Grand final, and on May 18-20, it covered 31st SEA Games ML:BB.
Maherco gaming channel is in second place. The Jordanian streamer amassed almost 1.6 million Hours Watched in a month, broadcasting only PUBG Mobile. The Top-3 Facebook Gaming channel in May is rounded out by بلانة كيمنك Balana Gaming. This creator's main game was also PUBG Mobile, and about 5% more of his Hours Watched were accumulated on GTA V broadcasts.
In fourth place on Facebook Gaming in May with 1.28 million Hours Watched is Zelika. His only category that month was Garena Free Fire. The Top-5 streamers is closed by ArcTv, who amassed 1.11 million Hours Watched during MotoGP 20 and MotoGP 22 broadcasts.
