Streams Charts continues to summarize streaming for September 2022. In the new article, we will tell you how the Facebook Gaming viewership statistics have changed in the first month of autumn, as well as name the most popular channels and broadcast categories for this period.

September brought big changes to the viewership statistics of Facebook Gaming. The number of active channels on the platform and the number of games streamed this month increased by 5%. At the same time, the platform's Hours Watched, Average Viewers, and Peak Viewers decreased by 17%, 16%, and 8%, respectively.

Most popular Facebook Gaming categories in September 2022

Total Hours Watched for each category are based on the channels that broadcasted in that category during the period in question.

Facebook Gaming continues to be dominated by mobile games, with PUBG Mobile holding the title of most popular one for several months now. At the same time, the category's Hours Watched decreased by 14% in September. ML:BB continues holding the second spot just as reliably, with its Hours Watched having decreased by 6% over the month.

Closing the top 3 most popular categories of the platform for the third month in a row is Garena Free Fire, while GTA V continues to be a runner-up. Hours Watched for these games have also decreased in September, by 15% and 12%, respectively. The fifth spot in the ranking went to Arena of Valor, with its Hours Watched indicator lagging behind that of the leaders by more than twice. At the same time, the Vietnamese version of the game closed the platform’s top 10 categories in September, having generated less than 2M Hours Watched.

Located between them in the ranking are Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Mobile, Dota 2, and Age of Empires, which generated 4.7M to 2.7M Hours Watched in September, respectively. At the same time, Age of Empires became the only game in the September 10 top that managed to demonstrate growth. Its Hours Watched increased by 7% over the month.

Most popular Facebook Gaming channels in September 2022

The most popular Facebook Gaming channel for the second month in a row was MPL Philippines, which broadcasts the Philippine ML:BB league. In September, it generated almost 2.8M Hours Watched, which is 16% more than in August. Garena Liên Quân Mobile holds the second spot, having climbed one spot in the ranking. At the same time, Hours Watched generated by this official channel of the Vietnamese version of Arena of Valor decreased by 13% over the month.

Closing the month’s top 3 was the official Mobile Legends: Bang Bang channel. Its Hours Watched grew by 10% in September, which allowed it to climb two spots in the ranking. Jordanian Maherco gaming with broadcasts on PUBG Mobile took the fourth spot in the top, being almost on the level of the ML:BB channel by Hours Watched. At the same time, its indicator grew by 43% over the month due to an increase in airtime by 40%.

Closing the top 5 most popular channels of the month was Vietnamese creator and professional Age of Empires player Chim Sẻ Đi Nắng. In September, he generated 1.2M Hours Watched, which is 65% more than it was in August. Egyptian streamer Sa3dola, whose main category is PUBG Mobile, is ranked sixth with 665K Hours Watched (up 30%).

Turkish creator إبن سوريا, who also streams PUBG Mobile, showed a solid performance increase in September and ranked seventh in the top. Compared to August, his Hours Watched increased sevenfold due to spending more time on-air. The eighth spot in the ranking was taken by Bulldog, whose broadcasts are usually dedicated to ML:BB. His Hours Watched increased by 66% over the month, propelling the streamer back into the platform’s top 10.

Ramee, who occupied the ninth spot, was the only English-language creator featured in the top 10. In September, he generated 585K Hours Watched at GTA V broadcasts (up 13%). The same indicator of the Jordanian G2G, who broadcasts PUBG Mobile, grew by 47% over the month. This increase was enough for him to close the top 10 most popular Facebook Gaming channels in September.
