Update from July 7: As per Dexerto, Ice Poseidon is now facing five years in a Thai prison for the “obscene” lap dance he gave other guests that was caught on Kick. On Discord, the streamer also revealed that he has spent $12,000 on bail and could be stuck in the Asian country until his 2024 court date.
On June 28, Ice Poseidon, one of the newest captures for Kick, had the police called on him in Bangkok. Apparently, he was caught by a restaurant manager giving lap dances to other guests in the lounge, and all this was caught on stream, making it his tenth most popular broadcast after his move to the rising platform.
The 28-year-old has been on a journey across Asia since his debut stream on Kick on May 6, with his IRL broadcasts becoming popular among viewers. He started with a trip to New Delhi, India, before moving to Nepal. In the latter country, he ended up heading to the base camp of Mount Everest, a journey that was presented as a week-long subathon
Ice Poseidon then headed to South Korea, including a short stop in North Korea, as he claimed to be the first streamer to go to the independent socialist state. From there, he came back west to Thailand, where he has been enjoying the best life, but not in the most positive light, as per recent reports.
Ice Poseidon's arrest stream stats
The former Twitch star, in Bangkok with colleagues Deepak and Hyubsama, and girlfriend Kimberly, was taken to the police station and temporarily released after posting a public apology to his Twitter account on June 29. This was after the manager of the restaurant where they were having a party interrupted them and claimed she saw on CCTV footage that Ice Poseidon (dressed in lingerie) was giving lap dances to his peers and guests and that Kimberly was not appropriately dressed, warning that the group "cannot do this in Thailand."
The June 28 stream on Ice Poseidon's channel did 13K Peak Viewers, which put it tenth on the list of his most popular videos on Kick. Interestingly, it reached this number towards the end of the clip, meaning the part where the bunch of streamers were pulled up and questioned attracted the most eyeballs.
So far, he has broadcast 43 times since his debut a little more than two months back. The clip also ended up becoming his second most popular among Average Viewers, showing just how many people came online and witnessed proceedings from an admittedly lousy day out for the American.
So far, his representative has confirmed no charges yet as no law was technically broken. However, the content creator will have to visit the police station and help with the investigation, and there could be chances of an early flight back from their trip to the Southeast Asian nation.
Ice Poseidon's Kick activity last month
Having taken a break from streaming post a pretty bumpy ride with the purple platform, Ice resurfaced on Kick, the platform making waves in the streaming world. A favorite of the Just Chatting genre, he has been pretty active with his uploads since May, including a video where he reached the 18K feet mark on the tallest peak in the world and planted the green platform's flag there, giving it some more publicity at a time when it has repeatedly been in the news.
In June, his channel has 1.24M Hours Watched and 14K Peak Viewers, helping him gain 21K followers. The influencer has streamed two genres, including Slots & Casino, although Just Chatting was his favorite segment after taking up 87.2% of his broadcast time. Ice Poseidon also ended up as the sixth-most watched content creator, behind the likes of platform heavyweights Adin Ross, xQc, and WestCOL. His various excursions across East Asia have obviously helped, and it seems that he is slowly rebuilding a reputation for himself after a long break away post his permanent Twitch ban.
With the latest news about his troubles in Thailand, it remains to be seen if his undoubted popularity gets affected. It will also be interesting to see Kick's response to the streaming group's shenanigans and whether there will be any repercussions for their actions.
