La Velada del Año 3, a boxing event among streamers hosted by Ibai, reached 3.59 million concurrent viewers. Most of the viewership numbers of the competition came from the Llanos’ Twitch channel, but there were content creators from other platforms who sneaked in to watch the most popular Twitch live stream ever.
Ibai himself peaked at over 3.4 million concurrent spectators on the Twitch channel, contributing the largest amount to the total. As for streamers from other platforms, over 300 channels engaged in co-streaming the event with the vast majority being Twitch representatives, but also featuring channels from Kick and other platforms.
About 10% of the channels streamed almost the entire event, while others tuned in for several hours. Only 10 channels peaked at over 10K concurrent viewers, and just 40 were watched by 1,000 or more at the hottest moment of the broadcast.
The third edition of La Velada del Año, a series of boxing matches between popular streamers, was held on June 30 — July 1 at Civitas Metropolian Stadium. The first day, contestants were weighing in, and the main event was scheduled for the next day. The peak moment of the show was recorded during the fight between Mayichi and Rivers.
Ibai’s Twitch broadcast became the most popular ever on the purple platform, beating the previous record (reached by Ibai last year at the same event) by 2%. This time around platform didn’t manage to reach the overall record, which is still 6.64 million concurrent viewers reached during La Velada del Año 3 on June 25, 2022.
