Streamer events that involve sports and entertainment have turned out to be huge successes recently. Just ask ibai, whose recent La Velada del Año maintained the boxing event's penchant for breaking Twitch records, or Twitch Rivals, whose competitions in myriad games have attracted millions.
The latest content creator to jump on this bandwagon was Jynxzi, who held his own boxing event on July 14 — as a kind of mockery of the Spanish sensation's highly successful venture a day after it aired. It was live-streamed on his personal Twitch channel and ended up becoming his most popular one ever.
This exhibition of renowned influencers saw a card of five fights, including one involving its creator:
This broadcast ended up doing almost 250K Peak Viewers, making it the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege creator's most popular of all time. It was 8.7% better than his next-best video by the metric, which came on March 17 when he was involved in plating the shooter alongside fellow Twitch stars and good friends Kai Cenat and Sketch.
It also became just his second-ever live stream to cross the 150K Average Viewers mark, proving once again why Jynxzi has become one of Twitch's foremost stars in about a year. It might not have had the kind of build or quality of fights seen in ibai's event, but it held its own in terms of audience reach thanks to its creator's reputation and fans' general malleability for such a concoction of genres.
For those wondering, despite a slippery start, Jynxzi was able to win his bout via the judge's decision by a close 29:28 score. Battered and pretty shaken up, he feigned thanking god and his parents before getting serious and thanking his security guard, Juan, for giving him the right strategy and tips to win.

There was also a scary moment from the event during the clash between Skyte and Tfeq, with the former falling to the ground in pain mid-fight. Many thought his leg, which bucked from under his weight and was giving him pain, received some serious damage, but the renowned Rainbow Six Siege creator was able to shake it off and land perhaps the most devastating knockout of the event to win the bout.
The boxing event was also helpful in sending Jynxzi to the top ten list of the most followers gained by Twitch streamers when looking at the first 17 days of this month. Ibai is atop this leaderboard, having created another milestone with La Velada del Año IV by accruing the second-most followers via a single live broadcast ever on the platform. Other popular names include Kai Cenat, Sketch, Caseoh, and Fanum, so the 22-year-old is in quite good company.
Intriguingly, making headlines with his boxing event was not the end of the Americani's headline-making last few days. For, on July 16, he renewed his beef with Clix by challenging him to a boxing bout that they settled would pay out $250K, sending both sets of fans into a frenzy.
It has to be remembered that the two have history going back to March when the XSET Fortnite pro posted a pic with the former's ex-girlfriend, Breckie Hill, to celebrate beating him in a R6 wager. However, Jynxzi did not take kindly to this, accusing Clix of 'clip farming,' with the two going back and forth on live streams and social media for a few days after.
The two have seemingly set September 14 as the date of their clash, with Clix already hard at work training for the bout, if social media videos are anything to go by. It remains to be seen if the wager to this fight is updated or changed, but it is undoubtedly a great way to make the news and attract millions to another combat-based event between popular content creators.
