KaiCenat announced earlier this month that he would host a 7-day marathon ‘prison’ live stream, where he will be locked up in a jail setting and stream from within the prison walls. He’s joined by a few famous names and other creators, but Kai’s statistics for the streams show that the streams are some of his most popular content to date.
The 7 days of lock-up started on October 27, and each day will be streamed for the full 24 hours until its conclusion. This type of special content has a large potential audience for Kai, and his trailer for the streaming event, which was released 5 days ago, and already accumulated more than 1M views on YouTube.
The trailer for Kai Cenat’s prison streams
The first day of the marathon on October 27 has been the most successful day of the event so far in terms of viewership; let’s take a look at the viewership Kai has managed to draw in with this special streaming setup.
The first day of the experimental stream received over 2.48M Hours Watched in total. The event kicked off with a bang, and this inaugural stream for the event became Kai’s most-watched singular broadcast ever. The fact that the broadcast for each day lasts the full 24 hours helps in regard to accumulating large amounts of watch time, but Kai is well-known for his marathon broadcasts. Of all KaiCenat’s most-watched broadcasts, the vast majority of these are 24-hour-long streams.
Viewership reached its peak of 230.7K Peak Viewers as the event began. Although viewership quickly dropped off from this initial peak as the stream continued, Kai managed to maintain a solid audience, and the 24-hour broadcast recorded 104.3K Average Viewers throughout.
This makes the inaugural prison stream, which was his most-watched broadcast, his fourth-most-popular stream ever. The broadcasts which were more popular than this include his collaborative streams, where he brought famous rappers 21 Savage and Lil Baby onto his stream.
At the moment, the fourth day of the 7-day marathon is currently ongoing live on KaiCenat’s Twitch, and viewership has remained stable. Although the follow-up streams were unable to reach the same heights as the first day, 2M+ Hours Watched were recorded for Day 3 and Day 4 has already reached 173.3K Peak Viewers.
