Kai Cenat recently took fans by surprise after returning to livestreaming on Twitch, making it the platform's biggest broadcast of 2026 so far. The hype around his comeback and simultaneous debut on YouTube helped attract over 1 million Peak Viewers combined across the two platforms.
Alongside revealing that he would be multistreaming on Twitch and YouTube, the American star officially announced the student and professor line-up for his popular event, Streamer University.
Kai Cenat's return showed he remains one of streaming's top acts

Kai Cenat's return was another reminder of the popularity he enjoyed before his months-long hiatus began in October 2025. This multistreamed broadcast, which announced to the world that he was no longer exclusive with Twitch, hit 711,386 Peak Viewers.
As a result, the 24-year-old is now at number one on the list of the most popular livestreams on the purple platform. The Streamer University reveal video was also his Twitch channel's third-most popular broadcast, with his collaboration with LeBron James remaining the only one to peak at over 1 million viewers.

This July 7 stream also marked his YouTube Live debut, and the viewership numbers didn't disappoint. It peaked at 403,959 viewers, immediately putting his channel among the most popular streamers on the red platform from the United States for the year.
Kai Cenat also announced the student and professor list for his Streamer University Class of 2026. Among the selected students are popular influencers such as Skai Jackson, Queen Naija, Sara Saffari, StableRonaldo, PlaqueBoyMax, Sketch, and JasonTheWeen.

What is the Streamer University, and what can fans expect in 2026?
Streamer University is a massive reality-TV-style entertainment and educational project designed as a "summer camp" for content creators. It puts top broadcasters and rising stars in a single "campus" alongside experienced mentors from the field for a multi-day experience filled with collaborative living, learning, and competing.

This year, fans can expect higher-quality production, including a larger physical campus, fresh faces from neighboring platforms like TikTok or Kick, and an updated lineup of interactive challenges. Of course, it also includes Kai Cenat's return to livestreaming, and with him acting as host once again, there's bound to be plenty of things to discuss once the event begins.
Streamer University 2026 promises to be one of the blockbuster streaming events of the summer, and Streams Charts will monitor the project's official channels closely.
