La Velada del Año V sets new Twitch viewership record

La Velada del Año V sets new Twitch viewership record
Share:

The fifth edition of Ibai “Ibai” Llanos’ livestreamed boxing event, La Velada del Año V, was held on July 26, and it continued to topple viewership records not only for the Spanish Twitch sensation but the platform itself. As a result, it continued to set new milestones every year, consistently exceeding the community's expectations and continually raising the bar for the livestreaming industry.

Ibai’s much-loved influencer-led sporting competition was held at the Estadio La Cartuja in Sevilla, Spain, and helped the superstar streamer set another personal channel record while also beating the overall mark on Twitch. The purple platform reached an astonishing 14,078,025 Peak Viewers (PV) during the second fight on the card, between Alana "Alanalarana" Scarlett and Ari Geli, which the former won.

Note: After Ibai's clarification in late July 2026, the final peak viewership numbers for La Velada del Año V were updated.

This figure handily beat the previous mark of 6.75 million peak live viewers set during last year’s iteration. It also made Ibai the most followed Twitch streamer as he reached 19,687,595 followers to reinforce his undoubted standing in not only the online Hispanic segment but the global livestreaming community as a whole.

It didn’t end here, as the KOI co-owner’s Twitch channel reached equally mind-boggling numbers, touching 7,675,621 peak concurrent viewers. This again set a record he had already held from last year, outperforming that number by over 142%.

Ibai’s broadcast of the fifth edition of this boxing spectacle had attracted 6,009,081 Average Viewers (AV), which makes it perhaps the most consistently watched broadcast across livestreaming services. There is little doubt that there are lots of other takeaways from this livestream, which Streams Charts will dive deep into, including some of the most popular moments of the night, in future articles.
